Fingers crossed for 'This Is Elvis' next year then ;) Hope if it happens, that they show it in other cities as well as London

But if the show is that good, surely you could travel to see it?

Of course I will  Hoping to meet up with friends from the 18s site ;) Met one in Memphis last year and she comes from Cornwall. It was great  Met another one at 'This Is Elvis' in Birmingham earlier this year.

It's fantastic meeting up with and sharing your enjoyment with someone who feels the same as you do, isn't it :) You are instantly beyond all the explanations and defending, and can get straight on with talking about exactly what you love and want to discuss, without any problems

That's what I love about forums like this and sites like the 18s. It's great to talk about Elvis and I've learnt loads too! And we share CDs and DVDs too  It was great in Memphis too, cos I stayed at The Heartbreak Hotel and everyone chatted to each other because we'd all got a love of Elvis in common :D I can't wait to go back

How long did you spend at Gracelands while you were there? Did you take any pics at all?

Hi BP

We were in Memphis for a week, last October and I went on the tour of Graceland 3 times, although I also walked up to the Meditation Garden a few times, early in the morning, which is a magical experience  It is so peaceful at that time and very emotional too.

I also went to Tupelo on a trip to see his birthplace as well as other places, and Mike Freeman (the current owner of Audubon Drive) took us on a 6 hour tour of Memphis to places which were important to Elvis. That was fantastic to see places that I had only read about and we even got to go into the apartment at Lauderdale Courts, where Elvis and his family lived for a while just after they moved to Memphis :D

Naturally a trip to Memphis has to include a visit to Sun Studios and it was fantastic to be where it all began for Elvis (and of course others too, like Johnny Cash whom I also like). The guide said that people actually kiss the microphone Elvis used ;)

We also went to The Rock and Soul Museum, the Civil Rights Museum and Beale Street which is just amazing

No surprise that we took almost 400 photos :o  Here's a link to a few I posted http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=837
