I'm putting this in here because usually he's rock, although this is produced by Timbaland and I guess more verging on Pop...So feel free to move it if you like.

Has anyone heard Long Gone? It's the first single taken from Chris' third solo album Scream, which is, I think, all-produced by Timba...or at least seven tracks are confirmed to be.

It won't get the right promo because Chris never seems to, but if it did this could be a big hit. It's like One Republic with added appeal.

Yes, Timbaland...it's not R&B though, fear not. :heehee:

Oh fukk, yet another past-their-sell-by-date act looking to reignite their fading star by knock, knock, knocking on Timba's door..... Really lame, pathetic and utterly OBVIOUS.... It's a sure sign that an act really has nowhere to go anymore and they've just their edge when they start to rely on a gun-for-hire like Timabaland to revive them....

Not quite sure who the biggest shameless whore is tbh... Chris or Timbaland..... I suppose Timbaland is just a producer and therefore will work with anyone who'll give him the cash, so any issues of "artistic integrity" dont apply cos he's not an "artist" as such... But I'm really disappointed in Cornell for selling out in quite this way, the Bond theme was bad enough (I mean, it was REALLY bad).... Mind you, not that this working with Timbaland is even really working out for him, he aint exactly selling more records now than he was with Soundgarden or Audioslave.... So, it begs the question - WHY...? Why compromise yourself in this manner, when it aint really paying off.....

Maybe he thinks he can be a male Gwen Stefani or summat.....

Have you actually heard the song? It's no radical departure from his previous solo stuff, really.

Listened to the song,

It's more One Republic than Soundgarden/Audioslave, although Jark is quite right, it's not that to different to some of his other horrendous ballads, even if it is just weaker then em and without the "loud guitars".. Although it has one of them gut-wrenching heavy GnR choruses [use Your Illusion I/II].
