Posted August 3, 200816 yr I think the release date needs to be brought forward  UK airplay chart #25 Capital airplay chart #9 Independent local radio #20 Hit uk #38 Network chart #12 Pre release chart #2 Radio growers #1 Edited September 14, 200816 yr by sunday
August 3, 200816 yr Good heavens! Amazing - after all we have been through in the past 6+ years, finally people are understanding what we have known all along. Well done Will - and I agree that the release date should be brought forward at least two weeks. Edited August 3, 200816 yr by Pearl
August 3, 200816 yr I agree about bringing the single forward but I would keep the album the same date. Brilliant airplay & he hasn't been added to radio 2 yet has he? :D Loving all the positive comments from the djs playing it.
August 3, 200816 yr Crikey! that's brilliant airplay and that's after less than a week, radio2 won't playlist it for a couple more weeks yet as it's too early for them, radio1 probably wont playlist him at all, well Scott (I'm a big baby) Mills wont anyway.
August 3, 200816 yr As much as us fans would love another #1 single for Will, I don't think that's the main concern for SBMG. Changes is a great track, but in our hearts we know that it's early release to radio, is to let the public know that Will is back and has an album with more great songs where that one came from :D Dido's new single has been given the same treatment, it goes to radio early September although the album won't follow for another 9 weeks. It's important to get the artists out there and, if it means possibly sacrificing a chart position for the single to make people aware of the album, then it's got to be worth it I think. hasn't it? :) .

I think you're right Marguerite, it's a whole new ball game since Will last released, although it was starting to happen even then with WAI, downloads had just kicked in and shops had started to order less physicals in. There's only HMV that sells physicals now and online, it's nearly all downloads, so album sales are even more important than ever now, with the singles being adverts for them airplay is very important and Will's doing very well so far. :D
August 3, 200816 yr I agree Marguerite. I said much the same over the road. I'd love it to get to No.1 but he has been away for a long time and really needs people 'out there' to know he's back with another great album tucked under his arm. "Changes" is the ambassador in a big way for Let It Go and doing a mighty fine job. Thanks Sunday Edited August 3, 200816 yr by munchkin
August 3, 200816 yr I know I'm an idiot as I'm still not sure how it works, but will downloads count this time? Will seems to have missed out on some in the past.
August 4, 200816 yr I know I'm an idiot as I'm still not sure how it works, but will downloads count this time? Will seems to have missed out on some in the past. Oh yes, they'll definitely count this time and I think downloads will be very important for Will ;) Whatever we think, there's still quite a lot of men out there for who Will is a 'guilty pleasure' :D

They wouldn't be clandestine about James (groan) Blunt et al. http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/signs084.gif I'll get off my soap box now.
August 4, 200816 yr At least he's true to himself. When he was about to be outed by the Daily Mail he took a brave step and came out "for the second time". He could very easily have kept quiet but then that would have left him wide open to nasty stories which he would have found difficult to refute. As it was he's had to endure 6 years of it but at least he is openly gay and can handle stories as and when they arise. Prejudice is always going to be there in all its forms Chrysalis but unless you personally are on the receiving end it's very difficult to imagine what it must be like. I'm just so pleased that Will's fans are steadfastly loyal and supportive and so, I suspect, is he. I think this album will sort out the men from the phobics. :P
August 4, 200816 yr Great news for Will ^_^ His first appearance in an official chart in ages, and for sure he won't leave the charts for months now
August 4, 200816 yr Yes he is true to himself, and thank god he is. He could so easily have lied in 2002, but he didn't, unlike others. He put his career on the line, and at such an early stage the effects could have been devastating. That took real guts. Ok it lost him a few fans at the time, but he's made up for it since. As you say munchkin it's been 6 years of innuendo, spite, nastiness and downright maliciousness, but in all that I've never heard him publicly "rise to the bait", or reply in kind. And that takes real guts as well.

August 4, 200816 yr but in all that I've never heard him publicly "rise to the bait", or reply in kind. And that takes real guts as well. No he hasn't - he has his own way of dealing with miscreants - hence the diva stories I suspect. I don't think I'd like to be on the receiving end of his 'controlled temper' :P As he said on SNP - "Treat others as you would like to be treated". There's a Mrs Do-As-You-Would-Be-Done-By in Charles Kingley's Water Babies - and it's a very good lesson that some should really learn. Mawnin Bertie All's well in Will's World at the moment. Edit: Just played him on Magic and Ken Bruce on Radio 2 and plugged the live session in September  Edited August 4, 200816 yr by munchkin

True it couldn't go better at the mo :P And about the SNP, I finally got to watch it few days ago on Youtube, and I haven't stopped laughing all way long! I love Alan Carr and Will was really good at it too, it was a great show! ^_^
