Thanks so much for putting the vids up suggy and sunday.

 

Think the more I hear ICSCN the more I'm liking that end note. Just love the way the cameras followed his walk down the thrust with Buck House in the background. Brought back memories of a very new and raw artist singing in the grounds of Buck House, with the BBC cameras barely knowing (or even wanting to know) he was there. How far has he come in 6/7 years. :dance: You certainly served your apprenticeship the hard way Will, and deserve to be there.

We got hardly any camera zooming which so spoiled the VE Day gig, or any songs cut, or the mike going quiet when Will came on. We have had all those, haven't we?

Lots of things happened this weekend:

 

Champagne was drunk (YUM), new flats were visited (LOVELY), Get Smart was watched (ACE), Alien was watched (SCARY), Shoreditch House was not visited (!), no meals were cooked (BAD), Heather Small sang a song (PROUD), Team GB did well (TALENT) and sweets were consumed (LOTS).

 

However, one thing stood out above all of these things.

 

WILL YOUNG WORE YELLOW SOCKS.

 

Now, I have always thought that socks should be black or very dark blue or at a push very dark grey, but I now want a pair of yellow socks. I think it is a very, very good look.

 

This is now my look for autumn. Yes.

 

Other things to note from the BBC Olympic handover party:

 

Claudia Winkleman is excellent, Leona looked amazing, Mcfly are really rather good and for the love of God, please can the cast of We Will Rock You stay on the stage, locked away in a theatre and not grace our TV screens ever, ever again. Thanks.
