Will Young popped into the studio to have a chat with Paul. Will and Paul got on so well that Will stayed for most of the show. Will even took part in our big on air competition and read out the qualifying question

I was actually at the right place at the right time so just heard Will on Key 103. :cheer: His Japanese is great. :lol: At the end he mentions there possibly may be another date at Manchester, but I don't know whether that's an extra on top of the two already. :unsure:

 

God - what a dreadful programme - couldn't believe the number of adverts. :rolleyes: I only persevered because I knew Will was there. :yahoo:

Right on top of his form. Kept the quips coming. I think he meant the extra date they already added - can't see them doing three nights there unless he adds the 22nd - he's in Sheffield on the 25th.

It’s been a while since Will was in the studio on the Breakfast show… and when he does arrive he’s 10 minutes late… ‘WHY?’ we call cried…”I was busy watching the Judo!”

 

Will is back after a short break venturing into the world of Theatre, actually he spent quite a chunk of last year here in Manchester performing at the Royal Exchange Theatre doing ‘Vortex’.

 

But now he’s back, back with a new Album called 'Let it Go' which is out on September 29th which he wrote 11 of the 13 songs! And there’s a new Single called ‘Changes’.

 

Listen again as we talk Chelsea’s boobs, punching fans and the Olympics, Also Will takes the healm for the men on THINGYMAJIG!

Will is starting promotion for 'Changes' over the coming weeks with the first fruits of his behind-the-scenes work coming to the fore across print, radio, TV and online.

 

We will keep you posted but next week listen out for Will as he's on a regional radio tour which will take him up and down the country to a local radio station near you.

 

He will be visiting all the following places;

 

 

Tuesday 12th August: Manchester, Preston and Stoke and Liverpool

Wednesday 13th August: Leeds, Wakefield, Sheffield, Doncaster, Nottingam, Leicester

Thursday 14th August: Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff

It was a good one - we missed the beginning because we didn't know where he was going to be until Annie alerted us.

 

They said after that they thought he was going to be hard work - but he proved them wrong. They enjoyed it :cheer:

 

Someone texted in a question "When did you know you were gay" :rolleyes: He fielded it very well "Oh - I don't know - when I bought a pink duvet" :lol:

 

Editing to add he went to Real Radio in Leeds after Aire. Two of our girls found out by chance he was going to be there and took a chance. Got a lovely piccy with him and discovered he was doing a pre-record which will go out in the coming weeks (no date).
