Well "Coming Clean" was a hit. Along with So Yesterday. Not major hits but they both charted in the top half of the Hot 100.

'With love' which was her best song ever reached the US Top 30 and was her highest charting single ever....

She must have some talent under her to score what she has done so far. Nobody thought she would be on as many albums as she is now. And although "Dignity" did not set the charts alight, it was hardly a flop. Plus she is one of those young artists that is so hands on with her carreer. She has co wrote since her second album and is tagged as exec producer on her music. So we know she was very involved in her musical output. But if talent meens she can belt out a tearfull balad and challange a Britney when she could dance is up to the individual. Hilary comes accross as being pretty smart when it comes to her own career. I count that as talent.

well i guess the pop career was just seen as an add on to the success of Disney's Lizzie McGuire at first whereas with Britney films would be an add on to the music career - a kinda brand extension

"Hilary Duff - The Best Of" - that's a good one.

Your right, its soooo funny. I mean, she's only had four top three albums on the Billboard chart. 3 being platinum sellers and also 5 single entries on the billboard 100. And she's only managed to sell out arena's with her tours. Why would you give an unsucessfull nobody like her that a greatest hits?? eeee, I'll never know :P

I'd love to see how popular this is in Britain?

I only klnow (vaguely) of one song - and that's all because of it appearing on some Now CD (62, I think).

She has had 5 top twenty singles and one gold album over here. All spread about. Nothing really made an impact. "Wake Up" was a surprise hit over here though making the top 10 when at the time it wasnt even thought it would make the top fourty. She even brought her "Most Wanted" tour over here. She does seem to have a small UK fan base.

I love Hilary but I must say it is ridiculous. Where is "Beat Of My Heart"???

As much as i love the song, it wasn't a hit in the states and its UK release got scrapped. The only places it charted where Australia (13), Italy (7) and Mexico (11)

It would make sense not to have it on a greatest hits. But as Hilary has only had 5 entries in the top 100 in America I think it would make sense to release a singles collection, not a greatest hits collection. So songs like "beat of my heart" and "play with fire" could be included.

She only has 4 top 20 hits, with love only managed 29 here (ironic her highest charting american single is her lowest charting uk single). Most Wanted went gold here and her tour sold out in a couple of places here as well. If she promotes the album and single (thats if it is even released in the UK) enough here, i can see the single at least doing well.

However on unless she comes back with a killer new single on her new label i could see this being the death of her music career.

I was just going by wiki. Like Joao Filipe, it was a double A side. Which I didn't realise till now. lol.

She is VERY untalented?

Well, I'm sorry... but that's very rude.

I can admit she's not the most talented person in the world, but she is far from very untalented.

Like someone has said, she co-writes. Infact, she co-wrote all but 1 song from Dignity and she doesn't excessively use technology to make her voice better.

Plus, what you said about her never being huge...

You don't have to be mega talented to have a huge hit/album.

If the song is great, it'll take you places.

Hilary Duff is a known name, with a fantastic song, she could be massive.

She pretty much autotunes her voice to buggery, even worse than Britney does.

'With Love' was IMO a fantastic song and that did nothing...

Ideally I'd use this tracklist:

01 Play With Fire

02 Reach Out

03 Come Clean

04 Hollywood

05 Fly

06 Beat Of My Heart (Oz) / Outside Of You (WW)

07 Our Lips Are Sealed ft.Haylie Duff

08 So Yesterday

09 Why Not

10 Stranger

11 Little Voice (Oz) / Wish I (WW)

12 With Love

13 Wake Up

14 Hollywood (Remix)

15 Reach Out (Remix)

But the real tracklist isn't half bad either.

'With Love' was IMO a fantastic song and that did nothing...

Except for the final bridge, With Love is a little meh. Stranger was MUCH better but not given a chance at TV or radio. :(

If she is autotuned it certainly is not to the extent of Britney Spears. One of "Blackout"'s most notable reviews even said that she makes Paris Hilton's album sound unplugged!

Hilary Is not awful live. She can hold a note and sing in tune. She just doesn't have a strong voice. Although I will be honest to say there are some times when you question her "live vocals". Sometimes its like the band is live, but she isn't or there are pre recorded live vocals. In this instance she appears to be completly live though:

Thoughts anyone? And not about the hord of screaming girls that only seem to be present for her performance. lol

No, I really don't agree at all.

'Stranger' was still good and deserved to do well of course, but not a patch on 'With Love'.

1. Fly

2. So Yesterday

3. Come Clean

4. With Love

5. Stranger

6. Somebody's Watching Over Me

7. Reach Out

8. Holiday

9. Play With Fire

10. Beat Of My Heart

11. Little Voice

12. Why Not

13. Wake Up

14. Our Lips Are Sealed

15. Happy

16. Supergirl

17. Jericho

18. Metamorphosis

That should be the tracklisting. -_-
