Posted August 8, 200816 yr Things i would have done: I would have released 'In My Arms' as the first single worldwide in November 2007 with a better video (including the UK, Europe and the US) WITH HUGE PROMOTION... I would have then released 'Wow' as the second international single in February 2008 (except for the US where 'Heartbeat Rock' or 'Sensitized' would be released) Then i would have released the 'X' album worldwide during the same week on March 2008 (including the US).... The album Track listing would be: 1.In My arms 2.Wow 3.Magnetic Electric 4.Speakerphone 5.Like a drug 6.Heartbeat Rock 7.King or Queen 8.Sensitized 9.All I See 10..I Don't Know What It Is 11.The One 12.White Diamond (piano version) 13.Stars (ballad version) 14.No More Rain (edited accoustic version) Then i would've released 'Like a drug' as the 3rd worldwide single in a remixed version with an expensive video during April 2008. Then 'The One' would be released as the 4th and final single as an edited version with a great video on July 2008 .
August 8, 200816 yr I would have: I would have released the piano version of 'White Diamond' as the first single across the world in the Christmas #1 week in December 2007, with a lovely video, with loads of promotion. The week after the release of 'White Diamond', I would've released 'X' in December 2007. The tracklisting would be: 1. White Diamond 2. In My Arms 3. King Or Queen 4. All I See 5. The One 6. Wow 7. Carried Away 8. Sensitized 9. Like A Drug 10. Nu-di-ty 11. No More Rain 12. Speakerphone 13. Stars Then, at the end of February 2008, I would have released 'In My Arms' as the second single worldwide, with an amazing video, and with promotion on TV shows. After that, in April 2008 - the third single, 'Wow' would be released, with a lovely video. I would then decide to end the X era, releasing a double-a-side featuring 'Like A Drug' and 'The One' as the fourth and final single internationally during July 2008. August 8, 200816 yr 1. In My Arms 2. Like A Drug 3. Fall For You 4. Rippin' Up The Disco 5. Magnetic Electric 6. Stars 7. Do It Again 8. The One 9. Sensitized 10. Carried Away 11. Wow 12. Speakerphone 13. White Diamond ( a studio version) 14. No More Rain 15 2 Hearts This would mor ethan likely be my track listing for the album,,i think the kylie show was a great promo for the album so i would do that again however 2 hearts for me was the main reason about the album going a bit wrong so i would never have had it as a single but i would have it on the album as it would be a great album track Wow would have been the first single followed by the one, like a drug and in my arms as fourth,,,i would like to think all the singles would be properly promoted and proper phyisiacl releases
August 10, 200816 yr i would release the singles in this order 1. Like A Drug 2. The One 3. In My Arms 4. Wow my track listing would be 15 tracks long and feature all X songs from the CD apart from Heartbeat Rock, Nu-Di-Ty and All I See and would add White Diamond studio version, Carried away, Ruffle My Feathers, Rippin up the disco and Fall for you and would have big promo for each single and decent videos and release the album along side the second single
August 10, 200816 yr I can't believe she released something like 2 Hearts, its just the worst Kylie song ever, its no wonder it gave people a bad feeling about buying the album. In my Arms should have been the first single.
August 11, 200816 yr I can't believe she released something like 2 Hearts, its just the worst Kylie song ever, its no wonder it gave people a bad feeling about buying the album. In my Arms should have been the first single. 2 hearts is loved by non-kylie fans.

In my Arms should have been the first single. 2 Hearts is absolutely NOT the worst Kylie songs ever ! I love it, but do agree it shouldn't have been single #1. It definaltely is single material though :w00t: I would have gone: 1 - Like a Drug 2 - The One 3 - 2 Hearts 4 - Speakerphone I keep changing my mind on what tracks I would have perferred on X, but at the moment my mind says it should have been (in no particular order :P ) 1 - Like a Drug 2 - The One 3 - 2 Hearts 4 - Speakerphone 5 - In My Arms 6 - Sensitized 7 - No More Rain 8 - Stars 9 - All I See 10 - Nu-di-ty 11 - Cherry Bomb 12 - King and Queen 13 - Lose Control
August 12, 200816 yr I would've made a lot more of the comeback than they did. Would have had teaser trailers for the first single, short clips of the video with sound as adverts on Channel 4. Would've had her go on Jonathan Ross or something to remind people of her music and restablish her profile. Then I would've released "White Diamond" as a Christmas single with an expensive and emotional video, and the week after release X. The second worldwide single would be "Wow" with a dancy and upbeat video and plenty of TV appearances to promote it. Then "In My Arms" but not in the way it was done; everyone had already seen the video for it and so it provoked little reaction, so another new video and a fuss over the premiere etc. Finally, if sales had been good for X then "The One" with the video as is but a lot more promotion and a physical release. In the U.S I would've released "Heart Beat Rock" with a cheerleader themed video and "Sensitized" but only those two, as I reckon any more singles would drastically underperformed.

Would've had her go on Jonathan Ross or something to remind people of her music and restablish her profile. Yeah, i did miss all that. The only promo I can recall was the 30 second intro on GMTV, Jo Whiley interview and The Kylie Show (which was good, but the audience were totally $h!te) I really think they should have got out there and promoted better, and not nessasarily interviews with Kylie personally (she's a very busy lady :P ) but they should have had posters, billboards and magazine covers galore. Opportunity missed  Come to think of it, maybe they should have played it safer by realising 2 singles before the album. That way when 2 Hearts didn't set the world alight they would still have been able to save the album by releaseing a killer 2nd single beforehand. I also think releaseing Wow the way they did was a complete mistake. They should have moved the physical date forward by at least a month - it was hanging around on downloads since about Xmas to mid Feb. Although personally i wouldn't have released Wow anyway  Edited August 12, 200816 yr by Glyn

Although personally i wouldn't have released Wow anyway  I wouldn't have done any of this. The album got brilliant opening sales and the album will sell as each single is promoted afterwards. Also 'Wow' was charting pretty much off the back of one X-Factor performance, it still got top 5 and it hanging around for so long really bolstered it's total sales.
August 12, 200816 yr i do think if wow got an earlier phyisical it would have charted higher and possibly number 1
August 12, 200816 yr I don't, it's downloads were at it's highest around the time it got it's physical release.
August 13, 200816 yr My track listing: 1. Like A Drug 2. The One 3. 2 Hearts 4. Speakerphone 5. In My Arms 6. Sensitized 7. Wow 8. Stars 9. All I See 10. Nu-di-ty 11. Cherry Bomb 12. King or Queen 13. White Diamond My choices for singles (based on what I think would go over the most): 1. Like A Drug 2. In My Arms 3. The One 4. Wow Other choices for singles (based on what I like, but wouldn't necessarily use): 1. Stars 2. White Diamond 3. Speakerphone 4. All I See I would possibly make some fancier music videos.
