Posted August 9, 200816 yr Sugababes last studio album "Change" was there lowest of there carrer , as they preper to realise there new LP in October will it flop or be a hit ? NEW SINGLE: qmHrGwyYNBQ Sugababes - Girls
August 9, 200816 yr I think it will be a hit if they work with the right people and don't play it safe!
August 9, 200816 yr What is with all these super-premature threads? :heehee: I recon a hit, but we'll need to hear the single first.
August 9, 200816 yr Way to early to speculate on the album, when there is not even a single planned yet. What's with all these threads popping up, when their respected albums are not even out till the autumn. Can we just put a hold on them, pretty please.
August 9, 200816 yr Ask me, when there is some new material to listen & comment on. Until then it is impossible to say.
August 9, 200816 yr Sugababes last studio album "Change" was there lowest of there carrer That was One Touch, I think you'll find. Change's sales were hardly bad or anything to be ashamed of, especially for an album as poor as that. I believe they can do better in the future.
August 9, 200816 yr Like all great music rivalries: The Beatles v Rolling Stones David Bowie v Marc Bolan (T Rex) Jackson 5 v Osmonds Sex Pistols v The Clash Duran Duran v Spandau Ballet Take That v East 17 Blur v Oasis Spice Girls v All Saints, etc ........ New Girls Aloud album expected in November Saturday, August 9 2008, 17:01 BST Digitslspy.com By Daniel Kilkelly, Entertainment Reporter Girls Aloud will release their fifth studio album in November, according to a report today. As well as being busy on their current tour of the UK, the girls have been in the studio working on the follow-up to Tangled Up, which was released at the end of last year. According to The Sun, the group will release the album's first single in October, before the LP itself is released the following month. A source told the newspaper: "The girls are really excited about this one. They think it's their best album yet. The last was their most successful so far and that has given them the drive to keep going. "They have spent more time recording this one than they have in the past because they want to get it right."
August 10, 200816 yr How have they managed to "spend more time recording this one" then? they only released the last one 8 months ago and they've been on tour up until a couple of weeks ago, then Cheryl went straight off to the x facter.
August 10, 200816 yr it looks like the sugababes have taken a more r'n'b route this time, they are working with taio cruz etc so i think their rivals will be the PCD if anyone, not GA. Change was a safe album, this next one probably wont be so its dangerous but exciting.
August 10, 200816 yr One Touch is surely their worst seller? Did it even make the top 10? And I thought 'Change's sales were fine for a pop album and considering that everybody seems to be suffering on the album front at the minute really. I think if the first single is strong enough this will do fine but I think the end of their TIMW era and 'Easy' single didn't really do as well as expected so they did a 'safe' album last time round so I am looking forward to see what they come up with this time.
August 10, 200816 yr I think the Change era was ruined after the HIDEOUS second single choice. What the hell were they thinking releasing Change????? After immediately falling in love with About You Now I had high hopes for the album, but apart from several really good tracks the rest were all a bit bleh and to be honest it's the only Sugababes album i don't really listen too :( I'm still looking forward to album #6 though. I really wish they would go back and do some more 'Freak Like Me' / 'Round Round' type tracks. They knock socks off anything off of Change.
August 10, 200816 yr I don't even own the album 'Change', nor have I heard any of it beside the four songs I own, but I reckon if they had released 'About You Now', 'Denial', 'Mended By You' and 'Never Gonna Dance Again' (in that order, possibly swapping MBY for a Christmas release) it would have been a hit album..
August 10, 200816 yr I really liked the sugababes Change album, but it wasnt as good as Taller in more ways. I think their next album will probably sell pretty well, unfortunately the 2nd choice of single "change" wasnt a particularly good choice!!!

I completely agree with you!
August 10, 200816 yr i must be one of the only people that actually really likes change- the only song that i don't like is Back when. I think the next album will be huge hit!
August 11, 200816 yr I loved the Change album  I do hope the new album is a bit more sass and "ooomph", though
August 11, 200816 yr Not huge, not flop... it seems that Sugababes and Girls Aloud always sell to the same restricted market.
