I don't know whether Brilliant19 or Mercury were to blame for that. I have never accepted the excuse that the quality of the video that they shot of the Dive In shows wasn't up to producing a commercial video of the tour.

 

Wouldn't you just love to see some of the stuff that Booth has shot over the years? It must be an almost complete record.

I couldn't believe it when Avril said they wouldn't let them take phots in Glasgow - they even took her camera away.

At the Dive In show? That's unbelievable. There were cameras flashing all over the place.

She noticed. She did get the camera back but not the film. It seemed so wrong when she wasn't allowed pics of her own son.

I didnt know that they had done that, I find that despicable and to my mind shows the block was being put in. together with the local media.Regarding the divein in tour video always thought the same about that. the other two idols under same management had videos of their tours and I know what I think the reason was why he didnt.

Ridiculous! Why treat Avril like that and turn a blind eye to so many others at the same gig?

 

Some of the security people that are employed for pop concerts are so miserable, they spoil people's enjoyment of an occasion they've looked forward to for so long and probably paid out more than they could afford into the bargain.

 

It doesn't bother Darius. He's a law unto himself. If he sees you lining up a shot he'll look directly into your camera for a few seconds and give you a sporting chance of getting a good picture and remember on that tour he never let the Girl In The Moons go awaywithout making sure their mums got a picture.

I had to laugh, with a frown inside, when I was told I couldn't use my video camera at Lincoln. The security guy was very nice actually, but it was such a joke, because most of the crowd had mobile phones and digital cameras that had video capability, and they weren't shy at using them either, oh well :(

Can I ask about Chicago, is Brenda in the same show as Darius? Or if they tour are there different people performing?

I think its great that Darius was asked again to play the part.

Brenda was there at the same time as Darius. She does have a remarkable voice. I think her acting needs a little work but she looked and sang the part really well. By the time she finishes her stint, the acting'll probably be there as well. She's part time at the moment - she's also recording and doing gigs.

She's one of the nicest people I've met, more than happy to just sit and chat with a complete stranger. I'm looking forward to hearing her music, which she descibes as 'clasic songs'

I was very impressed with Brenda's singing.

 

They're onstage together several times but I can't really think of many times when Billy Flynn (Darius) actually speaks to Mama Morton (Brenda). I just remember the "Show them in, Butch" immediately before the press conference.

 

Darius did most of his scenes with Roxie ( Bonnie Langford) and Amos(Victor) but he dida couple with Velma too including having to catch her every night when she took a flying leap at Roxie.

The cast has been announced for the tour but apart from jennifer ellison I cant for the life of me remember the names of the others apart from the part of billie flynn will be played by an actor who has appeared in waking the dead on tv and another tv programme. I believe Amos is to be played by someone from emmerdale.

Has anyone seen the video interview with Usher on broadway.com? He talks about the role of Billy Flynn and the schedule. There are a few clips of him performing - a bit from each of his songs.

I feel like I've seen 'Chicago' enough times but, if D was back in it, I'll be back.

Jennifer Ellison and Dale Meeks where on GMTV this morning they are doing the Chicago tour.

They didnt say who is doing the part of Billy Flynn.

Darius isn't doing the tour.

I'm still deciding if I'm curious enough to catch the tour when it comes my way. I'd hate to be disappointed. I think it would be difficult to match Victor, Amra, Sally Ann and Darius. They gelled so perfectly together.

 

Usher certainly sings BF's songs better than Huey Lewis who must have enjoyed playing BF - he's doing it again after Usher.

 

I don't fancy Jennifer Ellison. How ridiculous is the line " I'm older than I ever wanted to be" coming from someone her age?

 

 

Who is Dale Meeks? I don't recognise his name at all.

I know Darius wouldn't do it.

I bought tickets months ago for Southport to take the boys to see what I was talking about but they got the opportunity to see Darius in it when he came back in June :D but they still want to go again.

Dale Meeks was in Emerdale I belive

Maybe I'd recognise the character's name. I don't watch Emmerdale religiously but I have seen it from time to time from as far back as the days when it was called Emmerdale Farm.

 

Mind you, I hadn't a clue who Ian Kelsey was even when people told me who he played in Emmerdale and Casualty, which I've also watched fairly regularly.
