October 29, 200717 yr 2009 is a reasonable time for thr album as black parade project isnt finished yet so it only a year gap
November 3, 200717 yr Jersey rockers christen Presidential Center Bon Jovi has been making the Garden State feel better for decades. The Prudential Center, New Jersey's latest construction project, opened its doors for the first time Thursday, Oct. 25 in Newark. It is now the home of the New Jersey Devils, MISL Ironmen, and Seton Hall Basketball. For a $375 million building, it wasn't anything special. It felt and looked almost identical to the Wachovia Spectrum in Philadelphia. The most egregious error I felt the architects left out-cup holders. But some of the best assets of this venue were the crystal clear screens on each end of the stage. The picture was phenomenal. It was like I was watching a concert on DVD. The Prudential Center aims to hold 200 events a year. The first of which was one of 10 sold out Bon Jovi concerts marking the beginning of their world tour. The Jersey boys will host a variety of openers, including Big and Rich, Daughtry, The All-American Rejects, and others, each playing two of the 10 nights. The band who helped christen the new venue on opening night was My Chemical Romance. I was shocked to find that a good chunk of the crowd, about 25 percent, was there primarily for My Chemical Romance. I'm pretty sure those fans left feeling extremely satisfied. Those boys definitely did not disappoint. The band was so excited to be breaking ground in their hometown of Newark that they blew a speaker on the first song. After that little snafu, the acoustics sounded great, except for the fact that the vocals were more often than not drowned out by raucous guitar riffs and crazy drum theatrics. My Chemical Romance played a 40-minute set, the a majority of which was comprised of from their latest album, "The Black Parade." Surprisingly, they played only one song from their breakout album, "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge" - "I'm Not OK" - to which lead singer Gerard Way referred as the "biggest summer number one ever." I'm not sure if this is true or not, but it's a damn good song and clearly a huge hit with the crowd. The pop punk band toned down their set a lot for this show. There was lots of smoke and lights, but no pyrotechnics, confetti, costumes, or huge hot air balloons, which any fan knows have been major staples of their shows of late. I can't remember the last time MCR did a concert as anything but the headliner, but the performance was just as great as an opening act as it could ever be as a headliner. This show marked the return of bassist Mikey Way, who had been on a hiatus from the band since May for his honeymoon. It was clear his bandmates missed him and were empowered by his return, a fact that no technical difficulties could taint. Towards the end of the set, Way claimed that to be opening for a legendary band like Bon Jovi was "the greatest honor the band had ever received in all their years together." The Newark natives opened for Bon Jovi the following night as well and plan to head to Europe for a small tour until the middle of November. Bon Jovi's stage was a mock bar, a kind of cross between a country and Jersey dive bar. As soon as the lights went up, I heard someone to my left remark, "What the hell is this?" I smiled and replied, "This is Jersey." This was my first time seeing Bon Jovi live and I thought the set, the atmosphere, and the experience as a whole, was one of the oddest things I'd ever seen in my life. "This is a historic night in the state of New Jersey," Jon Bon Jovi announced after the band's strut out onto the stage. The night's performance consisted of an eight-piece band, complete with the usual guitars-electric and acoustic-drums, and bass, but with multiple pleasant surprises including banjo, violin, and keyboard. The new Bon Jovi has more of a country sound than the classic rock of old. I absolutely like the '80s Bon Jovi better, but nowadays old school is always better than new. The band blew the roof of the venue with old classics like "You Give Love a Bad Name" and "I'd Die for You," as well as the title tracks along with a smattering from their newer albums "Have A Nice Day" and "Lost Highway." Sambora looked horrible but his guitar playing hasn't diminished. He even came out of the shadows midway through the show to give a rather heartfelt rendition of "(You Want to) Make a Memory" and was a hit with the crowd. Bon Jovi was as charismatic and cool as I always knew he was, donning a My Chemical Romance t-shirt towards the end of the set. His voice has matured from his younger days, but still has that raspy soulfulness that can beckon the biggest critic to follow along. He's somewhat of a precious commodity in Philadelphia because he owns our arena football team, the Philadelphia Soul, and is a continuous contributor to various charities in the area. The best moments of the concert were when Bon Jovi gave up his vocals and let the 19,500 people in the arena take over. Although I'm not much of a fan, I still got chills and marveled at the fact that a band that has been around for two decades could still command such a presence. The set was a mix of slow sway-worthy ballads and jump-around favorites. The multiple encores of the night gave me my time to shine, as these were pretty much the only songs I could sing along to. Of course, I had a blast belting them out at the top of my lungs. "Wanted Dead or Alive" and the untouchable universal anthem "Living on a Prayer" were the perfect ending to this inaugural night in Newark. http://media.www.sjuhawknews.com/media/sto...r-3065458.shtml Edited November 3, 200717 yr by *Nicky*

November 8, 200717 yr My Chemical Romance avoid being sued Thursday, November 8 2007, 16:14 GMT By Kimberley Dadds - Digitalspy.com http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/a79497/m...being-sued.html My Chemical Romance have avoided being sued by Maine University over a cancelled concert by paying it $20,500. The university threatened to file a lawsuit against the rockers for dropping the gig last month, because it claimed that it lost promotional costs and fees to contractors and sought compensation for it. Fans of the group then complained to the student governing body at the university, insisting that the matter had been taken too far. The band's drummer, Bob Bryar, had suffered from a hand injury just before the gig, but they scheduled in a replacement to perform at a concert the next day, which angered the university. To avoid legal proceedings, My Chemical Romance decided to pay up instead. Speaking to the Maine University's student magazine, the vice president of student entertainment, Derek Mitchell, said: "It sort of came as a surprise that they agreed to do it, but at the same time we're really pleased that they understood the situation and were so quick to agree. "We are very happy we didn't have to proceed further." The university will now revise its contracts for future bands performing, while My Chemical Romance are considering whether to host a rearranged concert there in the future, according to Mitchell.

He told Rolling Stone: . “Married life is f***in’ amazing. Especially being in a relationship that I only thought could be a fictional thing. Story continues below... “It’s like knowing that there’s always somebody out there, and that’s something I’ve never known.” In the same interview, Way revealed that the band have committed their landmark show at the Palacio de Los Deportes, Mexico City, to film. November 10, 200717 yr Author http://images.kerrang.com/content/ksite/spreads/1184_b244x155.jpg My Chemical Romance bassist Mikey Way has rejoined the New Jersey emo titans. The bassist, who left the band in April of this year to spend time with his wife Alicia Simmons, played his second show with MCR since he rejoined when the band opened for Bon Jovi at the 20,000-capacity Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on October 25. "It's made a huge difference having Mikey back," guitarist Frank Iero told Kerrang!. "Having a bandmate missing is like tying one arm behind your back and trying to play the songs that way. The full article is in my Kerrang! magazine this week but it's much too long to type out so here's a summary from the Kerrang! site. http://www2.kerrang.com Do check out the site for loads of news and chat on MCR and other bands in the genre. November 10, 200717 yr Author Apparently the band are utterly crazy! There is an interview in Kerrang! mag with them at some point I will type it up  They p*** on stage and everything.
November 10, 200717 yr Author Frank said; "The Black Parade was killed in Mexico. They're songs live on in our set, and we will always remember them, bt I don't think they will be coming back anytime soon. It was a of fun while it lasted. If you there to experience it I'm glad, if not you have My Chem to deal with!" He also said; "Well you can expect a full on show. I think it will be a good way to end the year for us in Europe and the UK, to take it back to our roots and give the kids what they really want, the music. Less costumes and more rock" Snippet from an interview in Kerrang! this week in which the band's guitar player/back up vocalist Frank Iero says the band will still continue to play songs from the massive selling album but not done the costumes of their alter egos 'The Black Parade'. I gues it's a sign of the project coming to an end :o
