God this song gets worse the more I hear it. Its so generic and horrible. So there is SO much wrong with it I could write pages -_-

'Ring the Alarm' the 2nd single from 'B'day' i'm hoping will be better but considering the album was recorded in 2 weeks I don't hold out much hope. the fact Bee thinks she can put up her sophomore album out (notoriously the hardest one to get to work) with such little work and time spent on it smacks of arrogance and I hope this flops which it most likely will do in comparison to DIL considering the general slump in album sales in the US in the last yr.

I Love It.

Downloaded it last night have and listened to it about 3 or 4 times :)

its nothing new really.... hope shes got some good newies on the album after the disappointing first release!! :(

is it true she recorded the album in 2 weeks!? :o

I've heard 2 weeks and 6 weeks. Not sure which one is true. This song sounds rushed. I've heard the second single is a killer though - that might just be wishful thinking though.

so what do you all think!? Beyonce looks HOT, but the song still aint appealing to me!! :(

Beyonce - Deja Vu Feat. Jay-Z

'Deja Vu' is the bass heavy and high hat return of American R&B superstar, Beyonce Knowles. Taken from her forthcoming second solo album, 'B Day', 'Deja Vu' is a New Orleans-inspired funk workout from the sometime-Destiny's Child singer, featuring familiar cohort rapper Jay-Z (who's come out of retirement especially),with production duties courtesy of Rodney Jerkins, working his best Rich Harrison impersonation with his use of 808 instruments and sound systems. - HMV

Sophie Muller

who!?

LOVING the song.

I wasn't too keen on it before I saw the video, but now I absolutely LOVE it.

Sophie Muller - that explains why the opening is reminiscent of Hips Don't Lie.

The video has made me like the song more. Although it just seems to highlight that Jay z's rap is too long.

Quite a nice video :o a bit different, but still very nice :D

As for the song, I like the 'Beyonce-only' version MUCH better!

WOa! I LOVE the song and I LOVE the video!
Well what do you know, Beyonce churns out something half decent for the first time in her career. I like the video too, but if only there wasn't that pointless and obligatory rap at the beginning. :(
After hearing Check On It, I wasn't looking forward to Beyonce's new solo stuff - but I actually really like this! :o The video's a bit wierd and the rap is pointless and ruins the song, but it should do really well, and it should do well because the song is good - not because it's her comeback.
