Paparazzi is one of three tracks on the album that wouldn't get points from me, most likely...:(

 

As for me, I really have tried to be original in most of my song choices. At the time when I chose all of my songs, none of them had charted thus far (and I had absolutely no idea how huge I Kissed A Girl was going to be). Some may say entering Brandy might be cheap, but it's honestly one of my favorite songs of the year. It's gorgeous, and I think if you love a song that much, there really shouldn't be an issue in sending it (and I wouldn't say Brandy is a cheap entry considering the general bias on R&B here, as well as that she's not an extremely popular act - no AF, etc.)

 

The one time I sent something completely unknown, I got last place, so that kind of discouraged me. I've learned that in this competition, the kind of unknown stuff that I usually listen to would never fare well (whereas with say Gooddelta's unknown songs you can tell that Buzzjack-ers will like them - not saying their cheap whatsoever, but I'm just trying to say that if you look at my chart, most of those songs would do terribly, my taste isn't really BJ-esque). So I go for some more typical Buzzjack-esque stuff (I've usually been very happy with my entries though, besides Clea and Shakira really - Brandy is my favorite song I've entered yet). HOWEVER, that being said, my entry for the next contest is completely unknown and I'm hoping it's gonna go over well. *crosses fingers*

how am I supposed to predict what people will or won't like!?! I only ever send songs that I love at the time that would be huge hits in my chart regardless of whether I sent them to the contest...I never send something just because I think Buzzjack will like it. I figure that if I like a song, I'm sure other people will too...but surely Delta and Natasha were more Buzzjack friendly than Untouched/Sanna and look where I got with the first two...flopsville :lol: :(

fair enough, although I should point out that I have given a ton of points to Mdice over the nine contests so obviously my tastes are closer to yours than you might think -_-

 

I am not saying that we don't share tastes either. :o I told you earlier that I loved Headhunted. :o I was merely using you as an example as someone who sends unknown songs, that's all! Trying to explain why I don't send completely unknown songs most of the time.

I've flopped in every contest bar one and I'll never go cheap, that's mainly because I'd rather send something I like. I think next time I'll be sending my most well-known song yet...

I've only sent songs I like too, thats why I changed from the incredibly cheap Leona and Pussycat Dolls entry to Michelle's song ... although some could argue that is cheap too in some ways. :unsure: But I've been happy with my choices so far, even if I was a little disappointed by Danity Kane's result. :(
