Over 180,000 tickets were snapped up by fans yesterday for the 18 shows across the UK during October and November. Ticket web sites for all the venues experienced huge levels of demand and box office phone lines were jammed when the shows went on sale on Wednesday at 9am. A spokesperson for the band says, "The demand for tickets this morning was just immense. All the ticket sites slowed down severely but nothing crashed and the system worked very smoothly.”
