Does anyone here know or like this band? I'm not a huge fan but i think their songs are alright and i'm seeing them in October at Brighton, they remind me a bit of Kids in Glass houses except their songs have some screaming in and they are less commercial.

i think they are pretty dire to be honest i walked past them playing at Reading and it seemed rather awful.

Haha oh dear. Well the ticket only cost me a tenner and i doubt they'll be as bad as the last concert i went to.

That's exactly what they're like. Nowhere near as good as KIGH. The tent was pretty packed out when they were playing at Leeds, and it was pretty rawdy in there too. I'm not exactly keen on them though. I always get the impression they're a bit up their own arse.

I don't agree.

I've seen Kids In Glass Houses and You Me At Six and i thought You Me At Six were much better, including the crowd more, and just generally having more energy!

Can't wait for their album to come out in the UK next Monday :)

They've re-recororded the three singles plus The rumour and You've made your bed for the new album, they aren't as good as the originals from the previews i've heard imo. :(

I guess we'll just have to see what their album is like,

Yeah i think i'll order it this weekend. It will probably be good but i don't like that they've changed from their old style of songs which were heavier and had the screaming.

Yeah, i liked the screaming mixed with the melodies, it gave them something different to all them other bands.

 

Hopefully the album will live up to our expectations!

Bought it after college yesterday and went straight home and played the whole thing.

The new versions of some of the songs are incredible, and Josh's vocals are awesome throughout!

Mine hasn't arrived yet but could you tell me if they re recorded In your shoes? It's the only one that sounds identical to the older release.

They haven't re-recorded it, it sounds identical to the single version.

 

Do you know when yours is going to come?

 

Always Attract and The Truth Is A Terrible Thing are the best songs imo.

Mine arrived today, i'm listening atm. It's alright what they've done with the old songs but i'll always prefer the originals. Always attract i've only heard once so far but it sounded really good.

I'll always love the originals more, but i think the album as a whole is pretty amazing considering how young they are and stuff.

Yeah it's a good album, i just prefered their odler songs like Promise Promise, and This turbulence is beautiful. Those two and The Liar and The lighter are probably my main favourate YM@6 songs.

This Turbulence Is Beautiful and Promise Promise were my two favourite YMA6 songs too.

But i guessed that they might not be in the album when i saw them live in July.

They didn't sing either of these songs, i don't think Josh's voice would have been capable of growling that much!

 

His voice is so much softer when he sings live.

I've not seen them yet but i'm going to their Brighton gig on the 29th which should be pretty good. When you saw them did they do any old songs at all?

They did Save It For The Bedroom, In Your Shoes, etc but they didn't do Promise Promise, The Liar and The Lighter, or This Turbulence Is Beautiful.

 

I don't know if they'll do the original versions of these songs now though, because they are on the album, hope you have fun seeing them anyway!

Haven't heard much from them, but from what I have heard they aren't too bad.

Just found out yesterday that they are supporting Fall Out Boy on their UK tour.

Very excited because i'm seeing Fall Out Boy on Sunday in Birmingham, actually more excited about seeing You Me At Six now! ^_^
