I honestly think every song on this album is 10/10 I adore it, and I've only listened once!

Spotlight is #11 this week on the chart. Would be top 10 if it wasnt for the bloody X-Factor.

Aww well #11 is still so much better than we all thought, hope the album does well next week!

Yay, wonderful result! And I was wrong! :P Album will be Top 30 or so I recon.

That's good but I'm hacked off that a song that's had it's time and made #10 off the back of an X Factor audition blocked it from achieving a top 10 place.

Probably not, but it should get a third week Top 20, or perhaps Top 15, next week. It's still #15 and 60-something on iTunes.

Just bought the album. Will let you know what I think later but I'm pretty sure I will love it :wub: ! Was a bit shocked Zavvi didn't even have the album in stock - not in the new releases section or the R&B section. Luckily HMV had it, but even they only had a small number of them :(.

grr been looking forward to this album for ages pre ordered with play but not even gone to processing friday afternoon so cancelled went to asda they not stocking it. so ordered off zavvi but not even showing in stock just pre order status still

well got email off zavvi it been back ordered with suppliers so not even stocking in warehouse or wherever thye keep them.

 

poor jennifer and bad record company altho i think they suprised spotlight did so well but still annoying when people want the album and cant get.

Well it looks like Zavvi not stocking it at all then. I thought maybe it was cuz my local Zavvi is very small. But HMV next door had it at least.

my album thoughts on first listen

 

spotlight - love it have since first heard it 9/10

if this isnt love - wowwwww love this already beautiful song 10/10

pocketbook - likin it nice attitude song 9/10

giving myself - first ballad not too bad 7/10

what's wrong - mid tempo number not too bad 7/10

my heart - nice little song 7/10

you pulled me through - nice song nice lyrics 8/10

i'm his only woman with fantasia - like a proper laid back gospelly brandy n monica 8/10

cant stop the rain - likin this one 8/10

we gon' fight - nice song catchy 8/10

invisible - love this as well big vocals powerful song 9/10

and i'm telling you - loved it since dreamgirls makes hairs stand up watchin her perform it 10/10

jesus promised me a home - hmmm not too into gospel church type songs but its ok but not a fave 6/10

all dressed in love - love it from sex n the city great song 9/10

stand up - nice little closer song 7/10

spotlight(afroganic mix) - one album had on other didnt for some reason but same price on itunes nice remix 8/10

good debut my kind of album for sure could of possibly done without jesus promised me a home but jennifers vocals make me goose pimply.

 

Surprise surprise, it's not being stocked in Sainsburys or WH Smiths either. The sad thing is that unlike Jordin's album off the back of Tattoo, nothing on this album is going to be a bigger hit than Spotlight, so there'll be no oppurtunity for a successful re-launch off the back of a hit single. Shame.

Listened to most of the songs already, and i really like them. Will probably buy the album sometime this week.
