You must have seen some adverts for Dalmatian towns as tourism is quite well developed here

awwwww sweet dreams Schatzy

and thanks  I hope I'll like it *crosses her fingers*

Now's tomorrow!

How was it Jasna? :cheer:

(want another great post ;) )

 this is just a copy-paste from the Robbie forum :P

Hello everyone....

Today was my very first day at uni... It was... very.... confusing...

In English class I'll have 2 foreign professors  One is from Australia and the other one is from the USA B) B)

Unfortunately no one from the Islands :(

In German 2 lovely young women, one from Vienna and the other one.... from Germany, can't remember exactly from where

English professors all seem very nice   of course

German ones are... hmm... well one of them is nice and funny... but the first impression isn't always right...

I have no idea what I have tomorrow  I still have to check the schedule... there are so many of us so we're in groups... and that is a bit confusing

Anyway... my holidays are officially over (Wednesday is a national holiday here I think  no idea what it is  so no uni but that's all  ). You will never ever be jealous of my holidays again. This was the first and the last time I had more than 4 months free *sigh*

^_^

¿¿Copy-paste?? So you write something for the Robbie Forum but not for us? I expected more from you :drama:

It seems we both have Australian teachers this year. Hpe you have more luck than me, I need a lot of time for understanding what he's saying

Do you have a woman from Vienna as a German teacher?? Once again good luck! I've only spoke with one or two Österreicher, and I couldn't understand :( But you're more intelligent, so you won't have problems, I'm sure ^_^

If you don't know your timetable, take your timetable (??).

Yeah.. You'll change from 4 months to 3. How bad... ¬.¬

I would have typed the same things so why bother

He only spoke a few words in Croatian with the Australian accent  but I doubt I'll have difficulties understanding him... It's all English

Yeah, the woman is from Vienna and the other is somewhere from Germany... They both introduced themselves to us but I understood everything... I'm sure I'll have problems understanding what they're talking about because when one speaks German fast... I'm lost  and all native speakers speak fast of course  I'm doomed

With English it's different as I've always been more surrounded with the English language so I'm used to it

 If I'm lucky (hard-working), I'll finish the second semester in June and have holidays till the end of September/beginning of October... though I'm still not sure how it all works

How are you Schatzi??? What's going on in your life???

I have today off btw  it's the Independence Day here in Croatia

Edited by Ararita

Independence Day?? Like the film with Will Smith and the Alliens  Are there alliens in Croatia, too?

You won't have problems. From that what I know you're a good girl, responsable, and really intelligent, so... I know you'll do it well ^_^

My life? There it is. At the moment there are many German people on my school. One class (10a, i'm b :( ) are doing an Austausch with people from Bayern, so everywhere I look there are some blond people  It's funny to see how they try to understand when we speak  Our Spanish is so strange that are a bit.. lost  Appart from that nothing interesting happens here... well, some people of my class will try to go to a disco :heehee: I want to see how they go in, when there are some with only 14  I'd like to see them outside :P

And... well, you spoke bout the Uni, teachers... but how are the students? some tall men there?

 no, unfortunately no tall men :( at least not in my English class (for now) We're in groups and yesterday we only had 2 boys. One I know from before (btw he has a girlfriend and he's like 4 feet tall :kink: ) and the other one is not tall enough :smoke:

I haven't seen all the English students but I think there are about 5 guys total, can you believe it? :/

German class... same thing... There is one tall guy though but he.... erm..... doesn't look too good. Again, I haven't seen all the German students either as there are almost 100 of us and we're never all in one room. Sadly, there are always more girls studying languages, no idea why. Also, not many boys decide to go to uni at all... Girls are in majority B) :(

OMG I know the feeling when there are all foreign people walking around in your school and it's so obvious they don't belong there  We had an Austausch too, 2 years ago. They were Hungarian (and were here to learn German  Everyone laughs when I say that! Their listen to classes both in Hungarian and in German so our school organized a one week student exchange with them)

We're all the same but it's so funny when you see for example, tall tanned Croatians next to short white skinny Hungarians :kink:

Too bad you couldn't join... It would be a great opportunity for you to improve your German cause it's much better when you speak with someone who doesn't understand Spanish, so you HAVE TO speak German

14 years and they're going to the disco :o I don't know why I'm all surprised, it's the same in Zadar XD

People from Bayern have a really strong accent, I'm glad my professor isn't from there

There is one tall guy though but he.... erm..... doesn't look too good ---> :puke2:

What's 4 feet tall? Can you say that in metres, please? More women than men? This really confused me; I thought (obviously wrong) that not as many women as men in that part of Europe study :o I read somewhere that women where better for languages than men, and that men were better in Sciences.

"tall tanned Croatians next to short white skinny Hungarians" :heehee: Here this is like... German people next to German people, and some little Spanish people there... I'll do this in 2009 ^_^ I'll go there this April, and they'll come in November. I won't go to Bayern, but to the North. I'd prefer to go to Bayern, specially for seeing a friend.. but's not possible :( Ah! and I already have to speak German. One of my best friends came from Germany last year, so she can understand only a bit. It's difficult to me, but she's great

Yeah.. people starts to drink earlier and earlier... I've only drank one time (but to be honest I'd drink all my life :( It's $h!t, but I was happy... I know it's bad... but this happiness... ) Here they can go in. There's a lot of people who go there every weekend, so they won't have to stay outside, but it'd be funny xD

OMG finally someone who knows only meters  No idea how much 4ft is in meters tbh, it was just a joke cuz I know it's really short

I've read that too, about men and women- languages and Science ;)

Not sure what you know about the Balkans but we're all equal here  I just don't understand why there's always such a big percentage of girls and a small percentage of boys taking up languages... I guess all guys study Economics, Sports, Law, etc.

ahhh you'll go in April! I guess that's a perfect month to be in Germany. It won't be so cold, but then again I'm sure you would like to see some snow, rain, feel the cold...

hey guys and gals

We had the pleasure of attending an exclusive listening party for A Hundred Million Suns in Dublin yesterday. You can read all about it here www.drop-d.ie . Feel free to leave a comment and show your support for Snow Patrol...

Of course I only know metres! Onlz the English speakers use this strange thing :drama:

I dont know much bout the Balkans, onlz your look  and that youve been in some wars in the last decades. If men dont want to studz something like languages than its their problem - women can do this alone :) I think they feel better with an smoking and talking bout money xD

I want to see snow in a city  Here we sometimes have snoe, but its onlz in the highest mountain. Appart from that its reallz difficult to see it, and if we have snow once a zear is fantastic! Do you normally have snow there?

Oh! and have zou ever gone to Germanz? Its reallz beautiful

(sorrz if there z instead of y, but Im using the german tastatur(?) and its different )

Yeah it snows in Croatia, not in my town though. It's always warm here, the winters are quite mild... it never goes below 0 degrees Celsius and if it does happen ( :o ) it's only like 1 or 2 degrees... It snows a lot in the continental Croatia ;) From what I remember, it snowed in Zadar maybe 3 or 4 times  but it was never the real snow, it melted immediately :(

I've been to Germany, yes. I've been to Cologne. Stayed there for 4 days or so... last year  (the pictures are in my art thread if you're interested  ) It was lovely (and cold  ). It didn't snow though and good that it didn't, I don't like snow :P

no problem about the keyboard. I think you can change that by holding Alt and Shift  at least that's how it works on my Croatian one...

Today's the big day! 1st October, Pete has got holidays!! :cheer: :cheer:

I want pictures, too! And I asked before xD

Today I started my English classes, and my new teacher is Australian!! He has got a strange accent, but I could understand him ^^ It's the second Australian that teaches me, hope this time is better :) I asked bout Brisbane, and he told me it's really beautiful, and that everyone wants to go to Queensland. Also that they have the best climate all over Australia and that there isn't a winter! :o It seems Osiris is from a great part of Australia :cheer:

He also told me that in Canberra many kangaroos (I don't know how it's written) were killed :( Because the government said that!! I was really angry  Some Australians seem to be crazy :P

I will upload some pics later. Oh an Aussie teacher that's cool, and yeah loads of people love Brisbane, if you don't like the cold than it is definately a good place to live.

But I haven't heard anything about kangaroo's being killed?

Osiris!! You´re back! :cheer: How was it?? You´ve been there more than a week! :o I´ve missed you :(

Yeah! An Aussie teacher is great! He´s really funny, I have always a good time in English classes. This year is strange, I have an Aussie teacher in an academy, and at school I´m learning Australia :o I want to go there :D

I don´t know... that´s what he said, or at least what we understood.

Of course, Jasna! I saw your photos, but I forgot when I was writing that post  I´d like to have a lil bit more colder weather in winter, but in summer it´s better here, I´m sure.

Have to go now, I´m at school (informatik :P ). By the way, I´m going to Tenerife today evening, and come back at sunday evening. So I won´t be here... have a good weekend! :cheer:

Thank you, I missed you too  ...I missed everyone :D

Oh wow it's great you've got a good teacher and that you're enjoying your classes. Enjoy your weekend ^_^

I'll try. My mom decided I can't go :( so I'll have to stay here with my Dad... but I can have a good weekend here, too ^_^

I only enjoy my English classes with the Aussie. The others are too boring :( I'd study English all the day

Are you going to do something special this weekend? :D

Lalaa!! :cheer: :cheer: You're back :D :D

How are you? Something interesting happened? So many months without you.. :drama:

Hi Newgi, sorry for leaving you all in the lurk.

I've just been busy with work and that. I hope to post here more often.
