Posted August 27, 200816 yr From Culturedeluxe: Editors are to head back to the studio in the next few months with producer Jacknife Lee to record their third album and the follow-up to their slightly disappointing sophomore effort `An End Has a Start`. According to guitarist Chris Urbanowicz in an interview with NME.com, he has been heavily influenced by Brad Fiedel`s score for 1984 film `The Terminator`. "We`ve started writing differently and taking a new approach," he said. "I`ve started writing a lot of riffs on synthesisers and there`s a lot more electronics, samples and drum loops on it. I keep referencing the `Terminator` theme."
August 27, 200816 yr Their 2nd album was very disappointing for me. I listend about halfway through and got bored. Saying that, I like the sound of the apparent sound for the new album. Should be interesting...
August 27, 200816 yr I heard them live this sommer. Well, they are not bad, some songs are very promising, but I think they haven't found their style . They need more personality. But the lead singer has a great voice and a couple of the guitar parts were great!
