August 28, 200816 yr Liverpool's group is easy! PSV = Awful Marsielle = even with Nasri they were c**p, now they're worse Atletico Madrid = Can't defend to save their lives
August 29, 200816 yr Oops, I meant Cyprus  With the exception of the Turks living in Cyprus, what's the difference between Greece and Cyprus anyway. <joke, btw>
August 29, 200816 yr Zenit will cause both Real Madrid and Juventus problems, was evidently clear after tonights game. For a professional of Scholes' figure though, just what was he doing...

September 2, 200816 yr Damn, my two favourite teams are in the same group... They are Inter Milan and Werder Bremen.
September 17, 200816 yr The UEFA Champions LEague started yesterday! :w00t: Not all the teams have played yet, but here are the results from yesterday :) I think the Spanish and the English Leagues are the best of Europe, so their are coloured ^_^ Red: Spanish Blue: English Group A: Roma 1 - Cluj 2 Chelsea 4 - Bordeaux 0 1. The Spanish and the English teams started winning, let's see what the others (Arsenal, Madrid, Manchester and Villareal) do today :cheer:
September 17, 200816 yr Athletico Madrid looked amazing last night (granted PSV are $h!te). I reckon they could be the dark horses in the competition this year... the games against Liverpool should be acee though.
September 17, 200816 yr Oooh did Famagusta draw? I didn't realise they played last night! Yay for them and Cluj! :cheer:
September 17, 200816 yr I watched all the Atletico match and it was great. I can't remember the last time they played so great :o Cluj did nice, too.. but Roma is for me the worst of the 4 Italian teams. Tomorrow I'll try to the same, but atm Madrid, Oporto, Bayern adn Fiorentina are winning! :)

I can't remember the last time they played so great :o Cluj did nice, too.. but Roma is for me the worst of the 4 Italian teams. Tomorrow I'll try to the same, but atm Madrid, Oporto, Bayern adn Fiorentina are winning! :) Well PSV are really poor really, but from what I saw Athletico were excellent. Pongolle looks a steal on the right (can't believe Liverpool let him go still) and Aguero looks a steal at the price Athletico came for him. Is only a matter of time before one of the big clubs come in for him... I just hope it's not Man City.
September 17, 200816 yr One of the big clubs?!?! We are also one of the big clubs! Third in Spain, and well known all over the world, put from Europe, speacially in Argentina! I don't think Agüero will leave. It's not the same story as Torres. Then we weren't in Champions League and the footballers weren't really good. He needed to go for growing as fottball-player, but now we're much better. If continue in Champions, after the groups classification and one or two rounds (at least) I think he'll stay.
September 17, 200816 yr We should have won 1-0 but for a ridiculous penalty. But I guess that has now become the Arsenal way in Europe now,
September 17, 200816 yr Celtic have no-one to blame but themselves for failing to put a single goal past Aalborg. I can't remember the last time I saw them pass that badly. Amazing when they put in their best performance for months at the weekend. Everyone goes on about this 'first game jinx' - absolute nonsense. Of course, it didn't help that they had a bunch of Italian comedians officiating. Brown's goal looked onside to everyone but the flag-happy linesman and the referee amazingly managed to send off the wrong Aalborg player. Idiots. Edited September 17, 200816 yr by richie

Aguero's been known for years now, when he was 17 Arsenal wanted him, but Independiente wanted atleast 20m for him Atletico signed him for around £17m i doubt he'd goto City, either, Altetico are a bigger club.
September 17, 200816 yr Aguero's been known for years now, when he was 17 Arsenal wanted him, but Independiente wanted atleast 20m for him Atletico signed him for around £17m i doubt he'd goto City, either, Altetico are a bigger club. I know. Liverpool were after him too, but they couldn't afford price his old club were asking for. He's a great player, I first saw him play in 2006 and he looked amazing. He'll come on to be such a good player. Real Madrid were a bigger club than Man City, and look where Robinho went... but Aguero is too good a player to go to Man City imo. Athletico definitely won't want to sell him at the moment, as he was basically their replacement for Torres when they signed him (even though they signed him before Torres left). I'm sure if he becomes avaliable, then there'll be Man Utd, Liverpool, Man City, Inter Milan and Barcelona going after him. I'm 99.9% sure he'd never sign for Real Madrid if they ever put an offer in for him, purely because he's worshipped by the Athletico fans and it wouldn't be wise for him to move to the other club big club in Madrid.
September 17, 200816 yr Robinho has stated Real Madrid were using him as a pawn in the Ronaldo deal hours before Madrid sold him, he told Madrid if they didn't sell him to Chelsea he'd retire, and they said ok, aslong as they didn't sell to Chelsea
September 18, 200816 yr It's normal Robinho wanted to left. Madrid was using him. Everyone knew that they wanted C.Ronaldo, and this is the place where he plays. Robinho is really good, and I think Madrid acted bad. He was the best in the ¿bands? (left and right :D ), now Madrid only has Robben, he's much older and obviously not that good. But well, if Madrid wants that.. no rproblem :heehee: Agüero wans't a replacement, just because he's not like Torres. Those days, Atlético was only Torres, and Maxi and Perea but not as good as now. If Torres couldn't play, or he had a bad day Atlético lost. Now we have better players, Simao, Ujfalusi, Agüero, Maxi and a big etc. He won't go. This year he has said many times he wants to stay here, and I'm sure he'll do. And, if for any reason that won't happen, Atlético has to sll him, in Spain he'd only go to Barcelona. If not, you'd have him in the Premier League. But he won't left ^_^
September 18, 200816 yr I know it's not the Champions League, but it's still a European competition: Although it's been taken down now, Blue Square were offering odds of 11/10 for Pavyluchenko to score in a Tottenham win. Obviously someone forgot to tell them that he's cuptied, having played for Spartak Moscow* in the CL qualifiers. * - Not Zenit, like I said yesterday. Edited September 19, 200816 yr by DitzyNizzy

If not, you'd have him in the Premier League. But he won't left ^_^ I think he was a replacement for Torres, not a direct replacement however. Didn't Torres sort of play as a support striker when he was at Athletico? Aguero plays a similar role to that whenever i've seen him play, only not exactly the same. I think Athletico expected Torres to leave in 2006 as he was extremely good at the World Cup, but from what i've read, clubs were put off by the asking price Athletico was asking for. But at the same time, they bought Aguero, mainly because i'm sure the Athletico board expected Torres to move within the near future. I'm very sure he'll leave eventually. I don't mean it in a disrespectful term or anything, but i'm very sure that a Premier League club will come in for him next summer (or if not, when he's brilliant in the 2010 World Cup...), whether it be Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Man Utd or Arsenal.
