Sugababes reveal their sexy style secrets:

The popstrels reveal exactly what keeps them looking so drop-dead gorgeous...

KEISHA BUCHANAN, 23

I’m a size 12 at the moment and it’s the biggest I’ve ever been. My metabolism has definitely slowed down over the last year. But I don’t think I’m too big. I’ve put on weight all over, so I’m still in proportion – black women have a bit more junk around the bottom anyway, but I’ve got big boobs too. I like having an hourglass shape and wearing clothes that accentuate it.

Moving in with a man is the killer for your figure. When you’re in a relationship you get well fed. My boyfriend (writer Dean Thomas) is always saying, ‘Oh, you look gorgeous,’ and encouraging me to eat. I think, ‘Yeah, fine, then you’ll run off with some six-foot-tall model and I’ll be left with my fat arse on the sofa.’ I do need to cut down on carbs.

I think my worst feature is my skin. Instead of getting spots, I have scars that just come up on my face. I was about 17 when it started and people would ask if I was picking my face. If I have regular deep-cleansing facials my skin clears up, but the band’s schedule doesn’t let me stick to a routine like I should. The best skin advice I ever had was from Samantha Mumba – she swore that eating two red apples a day would clear up my problem. I tried it and it really did work. But after a couple of weeks I had apple overload and couldn’t face eating any more.

If I could wave a magic wand I’d give myself longer legs. Amelle is shorter than me but she has such long arms and limbs, which I’m very jealous of. I also think Heidi is very lucky with her figure – she’s curvy, yet she has this amazing washboard stomach.

I tried going to the gym with my boyfriend and it was a disaster. We kept arguing because he kept trying to tell me how to do my workout. In the end I told him, ‘We can’t do this together. We can do everything else, babe, but not the gym.’ I don’t do any exercise at the moment, but I’m going to start going to the gym with Amelle, because she’s such a warrior.

Afro hair gets very dry, and it can easily break with all the heat styling I have. I’m a serial straightener, so I use Shockwaves Styling Plus Gloss Serum, £2.99, to protect my hair and keep it looking healthy and shiny. It also smooths out any sneaky kinks and gives a sleek finish.

I like a lot of high street products. Vaseline, 75p, is my beauty essential, and I love The Body Shop Vitamin E Face Moisturiser, £9 – it feels gorgeous when I put it on. When I’m in the shower use Dove Beauty Care Body Wash, £2.99, as it suits my sensitive skin

I’d love to have laser hair removal. It would be great to never have to worry about waxing or shaving again. I went for one session on my bikini line and I nearly passed out it was so painful. I don’t want to go back.

HEIDI RANGE, 25

I’m pretty happy with my figure, but my weight does fluctuate. I’m 8 and a half stone, but I alternate between that and 8 stone. I look better when I’m lighter, but I have to be really strict with myself to be that slim.

I go through phases of being healthy. When I want to look my best, I work out five times a week and restrict my carbs to one piece of bread in the mornings. But I need something to motivate me, like a video shoot. Other times I can’t resist eating junk.

When I was growing up I was desperate to be bronzed and glamorous. At school I used to use instant fake tan, but then when I walked home in the rain I’d have orange streaks running down my legs.

I used to have spots when I was a teenager. I still use Clearasil StayClear Skin Perfecting Wash, £2.99, now because it cleared up my skin when I was younger and I don’t want my spots coming back. I always make sure I take off my make-up properly too.

My make-up is a mix of designer and high street. My favourite mascara is L’Oreal’s Telescopic, £8.99 – it’s a bargain, but it’s brilliant. But I like Dior too. My favourite new product is their Skin Poudre Shimmer palette, £34, which doubles as an eyeshadow and bronzer. It gives a lovely sheen over my cheekbones.

Our outfits can sometimes be quite revealing, so I like my skin to look good. I exfoliate quite a lot – The Body Shop gloves, £5, are great – and if I’m feeling a bit pale, I’ll put on some Johnson’s Holiday Skin, £4.99, to give me a boost.

My hair is naturally fine, so, of course, I’m desperate for big, curly hair. My favourite product is Shockwaves Styling Plus Gloss & Body Mousse, £2.99 – it’s great for getting volume into the roots, and it also protects my hair from the heat when I tong it.

AMELLE BERRABAH, 24

I don’t normally mind people commenting on my looks, but I got really down about it last year. I was going through a lot of stress – my boyfriend was attacked and nearly died – and the weight just fell off me. I had some horrible comments. People were saying, ‘She’s anorexic’. I just thought, ‘You bastards, you don’t know what I’m going through.’ I lost almost a stone and I hated the way I looked.

I had to eat like an animal to put the weight back on. I ate a hell of a lot of chocolate. But it wasn’t enjoyable at all, I really had to force-feed myself. I just wanted my old self back.

I definitely envy Heidi’s bum. She’s got a really nice one. She’s got really pretty feet as well. Feet normally make me feel a bit funny, but I don’t mind hers. And Keisha has lovely eyes, proper cat’s eyes. And she’s got great boobs too – lucky girl.

If have the time, I love doing home spa treatments. I’m a big fan of Bliss products. The Super Eucalyptus Smoother, £24, is a fantastic body mask, and I love to smother that all over me before I get in the shower. When I’m in the bath I add a couple of drops of Bio-Oil, £8.95, to keep my skin smooth.

My strangest ever beauty experience was when I went for a massage on holiday in Dubai. The woman who was doing it suddenly pulled down my towel and started massaging my bum – she was really going for my arse! I didn’t say anything because I didn’t want to sound like a prude, but I started twitching with embarrassment. She must have noticed because she said, ‘You like that?’ It was quite nice, to be honest!

My hair is naturally curly and right now I’m into wearing it big. It can go a little frizzy, though, so I use Shockwaves Styling Plus Gloss Booster Spray, £2.99, to tame it and make the curls defined.

I’m a bit of a make-up addict, but there are some products I always come back to. I love Lancôme Amplicils mascara, £19.50, and their Star Bronzer, £24, – that’s great for dusting over my cleavage and shoulders too. And I can’t stop buying Dior Addict Lipglosses, £16.

I go through phases with fragrance but at the moment I love Jo Malone’s Blue Agava & Cacao, £59. It smells like chocolate and Coca Cola, it’s gorgeous.
