Friends of Robbie Williams have apparently voiced their concern that the pop star is turning into a recluse.

 

Williams, who now lives in Los Angeles, had been expected to release new material this year but is said to now be confined to his house.

 

It's not even clear whether he's still dating long-term girlfriend actress Ayda Field.

 

“I haven’t seen Robbie for ages. The last time I did, he was sporting an awful Robinson Crusoe style beard and looked as if he hadn’t had a bath in days,” a friend told the Daily Star.

 

Williams' last album, 2006's 'Rudebox', failed to achieve the commercial success of his previous releases after it was poorly received by critics.

CLUBS in LA are in crisis – Robbie Williams, official leader of the Brit-pack party posse, has gone AWOL.

 

We hear Robbie, 34, has become a Howard Hughes-style recluse, and is shunning the nightlife in favour of homelife.

 

Now pals within Robbie’s inner LA circle are becoming increasingly worried that the star won’t be coming back.

 

Rob has been dating sexy TV actress Ayda Field, 28, for 18 months. And it is thought he hasn’t left his £1million home in the Hollywood Hills for weeks.

 

Now there’s a growing concern the Robster may have lost the plot – well, socially that is.

 

One pal told us: “I haven’t seen Robbie for ages. The last time I did, he was sporting an awful Robinson Crusoe style beard and looked as if he hadn’t had a bath in days.” Robbie relocated to Hollywood shortly after the release of his album Rudebox in 2006.

 

Panned by critics, it was his first not to sell more than a million. :rolleyes:

 

The singer turned his back on Britain and scampered off to LA where he was virtually unknown.

 

He quickly became a regular on the club scene and was often seen at the hippest places such as Hyde, Villa and Chateau Marmont.

 

But even the regulars there haven’t seen him in over a month.

 

When pals Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, both 32, were in town Robbie hardly saw them.

 

A source said: “We all know he’s an incredibly talented showman when he’s on the stage and on the hip LA club scene.

 

“But perhaps it’s just that Robbie is so in love with Ayda he hasn’t got time for clubs any more.” 

 

With an album set for release next year, let’s hope Rob can make time for the recording studio.

Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher was assaulted onstage last night (Sept. 7) during the band's headlining set at Toronto's Virgin Festival on Toronto Island Park.

 

The band was performing "(What's The Story) Morning Glory?" when a male emerged from the rear of the stage, running towards an unsuspecting Gallagher and pushing him in the back.

 

Gallagher fell to the stage while the unknown assailant attempted to attack singer Liam Gallagher, before members of the band's crew tackled the man. According to the CBC, the assailant was arrested, but details have yet to be announced.

 

Oasis stopped the song and walked offstage for approximately five minutes before returning to complete the show. In a statement, the band said Gallagher "fell heavily onto his monitor speakers" and was taken to a local hospital "to be examined for a suspected fractured rib and ligament damage."

 

The band was supposed to perform tomorrow night in London, Ontario, but the status of the gig is uncertain. Fans are advised to check Oasisinet.com and local media for updates.

UFO fan ROBBIE WILLIAMS has told how one visited him just after he wrote a song about aliens.

 

Robbie, 34, said a weird black light flew into his recording studio in Los Angeles and out again as he and pals watched stunned.

 

He said: “I had just finished writing a song called Arizona, which is about alien abduction, when there was this glow. It was magic.”

 

Now Robbie plans to go out on a jet ski to look for UFOs reported to have landed in the sea.

SINGER Robbie Williams has become a recluse – holed up in his Los Angeles home for the past 83 days. :o

 

 

 

 

He has not been spotted outside the confines of his mansion since he went clubbing two days in a row in the early summer.

 

 

 

Pals fear for 34-year-old Robbie’s fragile mental state as he spends day after day staring at the walls of his Hollywood pad – a far cry from his former glamorous lifestyle of premieres and parties.

 

 

 

Now fans have been left worrying that he might never take to the stage again, having last performed live TWO years ago.

 

 

 

Robbie even shunned the MTV Video Awards in Los Angeles this week, held just a stone’s throw from his home.

 

 

 

His last public appearance was a recorded TV message for the Soccer Aid event at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.

 

 

 

This was filmed at his house and he looked tired and gaunt as he made his charity appeal.

 

 

 

One fan said on a website: “He looked terrible, and unhappy beneath the banter.

 

 

 

“Although he said he couldn’t take part because of a knee injury, it seemed he’d lost his spark and had sadness behind his eyes.”

 

 

 

Robbie’s withdrawal from life comes as his obsession with alien life has intensified.

 

 

 

He has also piled on the pounds and grown a shaggy beard.

 

 

 

Worried telly pals Ant McPartlin, 32, and Declan Donelly, 32, are even sending him a mercy hamper containing vitamin juice and other goodies to tempt him out.

 

 

 

The former Take That golden boy has not been seen leaving his house since the middle of June, when he went to swanky Hollywood nightclub Co Co Deville. Pals say it’s the result of his inner torment.

 

 

 

He has been a virtual recluse since, staying in with secretive girlfriend and TV actress Ayda Field, 28.

 

 

 

Fans on internet forums have posted worried messages of support to Robbie begging him to tour and show his millions of fans he is not a spent force.

 

 

 

His Rudebox album – his last – was slammed by critics when it was released in October 2006.

 

 

 

The attacks and disappointing sales were said to have knocked Robbie’s confidence and left him wondering whether he has any future in music at all.

 

 

 

He had to cancel the Asian leg of his Close Encounters world tour in 2006 citing stress and exhaustion.

 

 

 

We revealed last year how Robbie, who had battled drink and drugs in the past, checked into a clinic in the US to fight depression and an addiction to prescription drugs.

 

 

 

He was also said to be getting through 36 double espresso coffees, 60 cigarettes and 20 cans of Red Bull every day.

 

 

 

A source said: “Robbie has battled a lot recently, and it’s left him very wary of new people and going out generally.

 

 

 

“At the moment, it’s like he has been kidnapped. He just isn’t around.”

Robbie Williams is to honour youngsters who attend his old school.

 

Special awards will be given to pupils who overcome hurdles to succeed in life.

 

Winners will be given signed certificates and handwritten messages from Williams, reports The Sun.

 

The 34-year-old remains linked with St. Margaret Ward Catholic School and Arts College, in Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent.

 

His mum said that youngsters who cope with disabilities or have overcome difficulties would be awarded.

 

Friends of the star revealed he has been shunning LA's nightlife in recent months to spend more time at home with girlfriend Ayda Field.

Robbie Williams obsessed with aliens

Robbie Williams has been dumped by his girlfriend after she reportedly got sick of playing second fiddle to his UFO obsession.

 

Williams’ girlfriend of 14 months, Ayda Field, walked out after he started to spend too much time researching aliens on the internet and not enough time on her.

 

Williams was also said to have been too preoccupied on his new album, although other sources claimed he hadn’t stepped into a recording studio. :wacko:

 

Field apparently left Williams two weeks ago.

 

‘‘He has become more obsessed than ever recently with aliens,’’ a source said.

 

‘‘Some nights he would stay up till daylight and not go back to bed.’’

 

Other sources said the break-up was mutual, with Williams wanting to concentrate on his comeback album. :rolleyes:

 

‘‘Robbie is absolutely gutted the relationship has ended,’’ a source said.

 

‘‘He thought Ayda was his soulmate and the most beautiful woman he has ever met, so he was desperate for it to work.

 

‘‘Unfortunately, the timing was not right for them and, after being on-off for a while, they’ve finally decided to call it quits.

 

‘‘They are still very good friends though, and she was the only girlfriend his close-knit circle in LA actually accepted and genuinely liked.’’

 

The couple’s relationship has been on the rocks for months.

 

The 29-year-old Field, who has appeared in Will & Grace and Days Of Our Lives, reportedly broke up with Williams in June before the pair got back together again, but the split is likely to be for good this time.

 

‘‘The break could be permanent – they’ve been having ups and downs for a while,’’ a source said.
