Newly reformed NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK have hit out at fellow boyband BACKSTREET BOYS - insisting their comeback will be much more successful.

Backstreet Boys have taken several breaks from the music scene throughout their career, and each time their return has failed to replicate the success of their heyday in the 1990s.

New Kids On The Block recently reunited after 15 years away from the pop market, but they insist that their comeback will eclipse the recent efforts of the Backstreet Boys.

Singer Danny Wood says, "Backstreet's records sound the same as before - their music didn't evolve like ours has. They never spoke too highly of us and said if we had talent we'd still be around. They should've probably kept their mouths shut!"

Lol that is sooo true and i hate how now that nsync is out of the picture its now:

NKOTB Vs BSB

Oh my who has a new single and album out at the moment and needs to drum up publicity as they suck and are heading to flopsville faster than Michelle Mcmanus' breasts? :o

As much as i love the Backstreet Boys i do agree every single theyve released since 2005 has been the same generic pop-rock.

Its a shame really as 'Unbreakable' is a MUCH better album than 'The Block' as it has great songs such as 'Treat Me Right', 'Any Other Way' & 'Panic' which all should of been singles instead of the borefest HWSS & Inconsolable.

'The Block' has some great tracks but the great tracks are the ones which feature other artists (Big Girl Now with Lady Gaga, Grown Man with PCD & Full Service with New Edition), every single song sounds similar & the lyrics are also similar whilst Backstreet Boys have a variety of genres of their latest album, theyve just been releasing the generic pop-rock trash >.<

NKOTB cant exactly brag though, Summertime is hideous.

Well the new BSB album which they are recording is gonna be much more R&B...they are working with people like T-Pian and Jazze Pha and I really think they are finally gonna come back with something better than the pop-rock of the last 2 albums :D!

NKOTB might have better producers for this new album and better songs, but they still don't have as much talent. BSB are much better vocally!

Has anyone else seen the video for "Summertime"? It gave me flashbacks to BSB's "I Want It That Way"... The white suits and choreographed dancing at the end...yikes.
Oh my god Dino! How will you survive? I mean, really? These must be hard times for you. I'm here if you need me.

Their gonna need a killer lead single if they want any chance of success again, if their next album is launched off yet another ballad its almost certainly the end of their music career unfortunately.

BSB will always be my no.1  and delta fan mel is right bsb will always be vocally more talented.

And bsb is a boyband from the 00's too not just 90's B&B was released in 2000 and their greatest hits in 2001.

I agree BSB are much better han New Kids.

Have you heard of band 'Stanfour'? theyve supported BSB on the German part of their tour and they are a really good pop-rock band, especially songs like 'Do It All' which would of been huge if released by BSB.

Don't worry I think they are well aware of this. Hence the reason they are finally getting good producers on boards rather than the Dan Muckala etc etc. As far as I'm aware there are working with Ryan Tedder, Jazze Pha, Rodney Jerkins, Akon and have worked with T-pain (already recorded but wasn't put on Unbreakable). They are really putting proper effort in the new CD and I am positive the lead single won't be a ballad....
