Posted September 4, 200816 yr The Fresh Hits Chart looks like this, this week. (Remember this chart is based on the Official chart, with added pre-orders of physical/download singles. If a single falls from the top 10, and falls for another 2 weeks it is then dropped altogether). By doing a chart this way, it is weeks ahead of anything else. We compile the chart from physical sales/downloads and pre-orders of physicals, and downloads from most major stores and download sites. As I take out a number of falling songs, it has to be said that primarily pre-orders outside the top 20, are likely to enter the full official chart up to, and over 20 or more positions, further down. The top 20 though is a good source, for the Prediction games that Ben runs. September 4, 200816 yr I'm sceptical that Cliff Richard might have a shouting chance next week :heehee:

Doesn't look good for Moby and as soon as Dido's song leaks she plummets . Is it possible to pre-order a song before you even heard it? I'm sure Don't Believe In Love wasn't leaked 1 and a bit weeks ago

I'm sure Don't Believe In Love wasn't leaked 1 and a bit weeks ago  It is possible to pre-order, well in advance of hearing, or release. I believe many people, actually thought "Safe Trip Home", would be the single released at this point. Originally, the pre-orders had it as "TBA", then suddenly "Don`t Believe In Love", appeared on the list(s). Sunday Night update (1st post).
September 7, 200816 yr I'm confused. Is this chart based on the actual numbers of pre-sales ordered - or the position in the pre-sales charts of these outlets? Sorry to be slow, but I'm surprised if quite precise information on pre-sales is made public. It seems to be looking quite good for Will if it's based on actual orders made. I just happen to know, people in the business. Really all you need is computers, and the answers from stores, and the hidden "pre-sales" are pretty high, on the whole. For a midweek edition of this chart, I have to increase the "proper sales", of songs already available. Otherwise pre-orders could be well ahead of the rest of them. But I can`t put actual sales info on, because you`re not supposed to know that much info!

I'd love for Will to have another no. 1 - but the competition is pretty tough!
