The NEW Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopes album, "Eye-Legacy", drops November 11!

The list of featured artists has grown! In addition to T-Boz and Chilli, Tupac, Wanye Morris [boyz II Men], Free, and Reigndrop Lopes-guest appearances now include: Missy Elliott, Lil' Mama, and Chamillionaire!

What better way to celebrate Left Eye's life than by showing the world that while she may be physically gone, her spirit still lives on through her music!

It better be good. Somehow, I doubt it.

I bet it is going to be awesome. Left Eye only delivers the greatest. I can't wait until the new album "Eye Legacy" drop on January 27, 2009. The Legacy continuess....

I've heard the first single. Even Tionne sounds like she's about to fall asleep on that one.

"Tampered With" is nice, but the original is better. "Legendary" (AKA "Untouchable") isn't too bad, either.

They need to get Chilli on "Let's Just Do It".

HOTTT :-D

I just saw an ad for this in Vibe, I had no idea they were putting a CD out of her stuff. I wonder if its the music she wanted to put out on the CD that got shelved before she died. If so, that's really good because I read she was really upset when they didn't put that out. If it's stuff she never wanted released then that makes me so mad, I hate when labels do that. I'm about to go check out the stuff now, thanks for posting!
She's been dead seven years nearly!

Is this all a blantant cash-in?

of course.

prettyyoungthing - the album that got shelved was 'supernova'. la reid didn't release it in the US, which is why she left Arista and went with Suge Knight's Death Row label and turned into N.I.N.A (her new material was more hardcore than that on 'supernova' - still sucked though).

i prefer this version of "let's just do it" to the original.

I think they are trying to make some money off her name. (like biggie)
that's a given.

Got my copy (as well as all the promo stuff for the party Thursday January 29th)

The DVD is great - It has 5 different sections

01. Tour of the Bush

02. Lisa's new hair

03. Out and About in the Bush

04. Workout Plan

05. Picture Montage (pics of Lisa in Honduras)

The CD is great - The clips they put online do no justice. Bounce is my favorite on the CD so far VERY high energy - All in all (even though most are from Supernova) its a great CD - Not everyone got a chance to listen to or even have Supernova, so for most of the world its all new material. B+

The songs are songs from Supernova, but they sound like they were re-recorded some how. It isn't the same version of the songs (vocally) from Supernova.

It actually looks like a lot of effort has gone into that :o

I'm not buying it. I think it sucks, based on the clips and the songs that have leaked (minus "Let's Just Do It" - Missy KILLED her verse on that).

The DVD is interesting, however. Hmm ... I might buy it just for that.

You know you will :kink: YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO

I might have to take a listen to that song you mentioned though - just because I find it hard to believe that Missy could kill ANYTHING of late. She's more over than... an overtly over person from overtown.

Listen to it, Jark. Her verse is hot. You'll like it.

I probably will. The DVD is the only thing that interests me. The album can be used as a coaster for all I care.

Let's Just Do It (ft. TLC and Missy Elliott)

Supernova is quite an underestimated album. I will check this out. I haven't seen it out in the shops I will check online for it.

'Supernova' is brilliant for what it is.

It's not the most commercial of all albums. It was originally supposed to be more 'hardcore' with top producers and some of the industry's biggest artists including Eve and Andre 3000, but as Lisa became more spiritual, she decided to scrap that and make a softer, spiritual album.

I really like it. If anyone ever wants to know who Lisa was, they should listen to 'Supernova' and watch 'The Last Days of Left Eye'.

Which is why I'm against this album being released. There was a reason she recorded the songs the way they were recorded.

Album leaked. As I expected, it sucks.

"Neva Will Eye Eva" is pretty hot, though.
