Can you please put a new thread with a reminder for the show, nearer the time, I really would love to see this.

I am excited, and rachel has recieved and posted(on .net) an email from someone in the audience who had only heard darius' name through GWTW adverts, but was really won over by his performance!! I am looking forward to seeing him again and seeing him perform

You see that's what troubles me. Here are these people who've heard Darius sing with his "big voice" and been impressed but they can't buy into that Darius....... only what is currently out there - good as they are, there is not one single track on either album sung in that style.

 

He's riding two very different horses at the same time. I know Darius doesn't believe in targeting his audience and that his songs are for everyone. I personally think that could ultimately cost him those fans. IMHO he should rectify that. He should record a few tracks in that style, his own songs or a couple of cover versions ( contentious) and make them downloadable from his myspace.

I totally agree baytree. its the same with his my space, the songs have not changed for ages, he is not using his opportunities. I cant understand this laid backness, can only think he doesnt want to be away from LA too long or should I say Natasha. That email to rachel says a lot but there should be opportunites for more people to do that if they could hear him. It always seems when he gets to sing a great song etc no-one gets to0 hear it, cant understand it.

I have never understood darius -

but I am hoping IF a new album IS on its way he has moved on from "pop" his voice is too good for that, and his songwriting is above pop, I am not expecting an album anything like the other two, much as I love them, they were so long ago - he has moved on and matured
