Oh my, that hurt and then some :(

tbh.. they did outplay us for the entire second half, we just werent good enough :(

Outplayed us? we were mediocre

Liverpool are $h!te

two LUCKY goals

^ Very Bad Loser. B)

Liverpool were back to their usual form of completely dominating the stats but failing to make it count where it mattered.

A scoreline of 4-1 would not have flattered the home side against a rather poor Manchester United, who player for player on the pitch should have beaten a Torres less & Gerrard (for 68 mins) less Liverpool, as everybody knows (apparently) Liverpool are only a two player team.

you're trying to make it seem like if you had Torres and Gerrard you'd have raped us

mate, we didn't have Ronaldo

i don't care for the result

i know where we'll be in May.

Absolutely made up. I didn't think we just beat Man Utd, I thought we battered them.

Excellent performance all round, makes it even better for me that we did it without Gerrard and Torres (well for most of the game). Stops all the press saying we're a 2 man team, and we can't do anything without them. If anything I think it showed that Man Utd rely on Ronaldo too much, and without him they look creatively weak. I did want us to buy Barry in the summer, but Alonso and Mascherano just bossed the midfield. Today Alonso was the sort of player that Rafa payed the money for.

Liverpool fans were extatic because we've not beaten Man Utd in the league for ages. Gives us a physcological edge, makes it the more better that for once we were the better side against a Top 4 team and actually won. Top of the league and 6 points ahead of Man Utd. :D Absolutely made up. Hopefully Rafa sees this as an oppotunity and goes for the league.

ahahaha, physological edge for what?

you seriously think you're title contenders? ahahhaha!!! funny lad

i hope City finish above Liverpool, worst team in history to watch

and 20m on Keane is the worst transfer, EVER.

As you say it is very early days, and I don't think the table is worth looking at until the end of October.....

But put it this way Alex Ferguson would care about the result, and that must have hurt.

However, if you play like that week in week out for the rest of the season then it sure as hell is not going to be inside the Champions League places.

Scholes & Giggs are really showing their ages and should have been moved on/retired by now, I half expected to see Bobby Charlton on the bench because he still has one hell of a shot (better than Kuyt!), and Anderson & Nani have not moved up a gear in quality (unlike Liverpool's Babel).

Whilst I felt so sorry for Rooney being played out of position yet again, and you paid all that money for "The Incredible Sulk" who was hardly a team player at Tottenham Hotspur.

Face facts, like all great managers who hang on too long (Clough, Busby, Jock Stein) I'm really starting to wonder if Fergie is going the same way.

As you say you have Ronaldo to come back, but how motivated is he really going to be after having the perfect season last year, yet the selfish see you next Tuesday then wanted to make his "dream move" to Real Madrid.

If I was a Manchester United fan I would be a very worried person this afternoon.

If you don't think that defeat will have hurt Man Utd players confidence then you're mad. There's nothing worse than losing to one of your rivals. You've got Chelsea next week away. You get beat by them and then then you might be 9 points behind the top after 6 games into the season, ain't good.

I don't care what people think about Keane. Personally I think he'll become great, I remember how long it took Peter Crouch to score when he first came.

I really don't get why some Man Utd fans get so bitter. We played you off the park. One of my friends whose a Man Utd fans text and said Liverpool were lucky? Must have been watching a different game to me. Puts it into context when my Cousin who is an Everton fan (and he hates Liverpool), rang me up and said we played Man Utd off the park. Tevez scoring was the best thing that happened to Liverpool today. Gave us 87 minutes to try and get back into the game, rather than the usual 87 seconds.

O YESSSSSSSSSSS

Well made up that we beat them

Utd cant complain even Fergie said we were the better team, just hope we can take the victory and have a real go at the league

we've just won the premier league and champions league, write him off at your peril

but what i know is, Liverpool will NEVER win the premier league under Benitez aslong as he has a hole in his arse

 Sore loser much! It's ridiculous fans like you that make other people HATE us. Yes, im fuckin' gutted we lost to Liverpool, but what it comes down to is they outplayed us, there was slight luck about their first goal but that was OUR error because our goalie is TERRIBLE ;\ Second goal, no luck about that, it was coming for the entire second half as i dont think the ball ever LEFT their half.. they were playing excellent football and deserved to win over our second half lacklustre display.

Sorry but we played you off the park. Okay maybe the first goal was lucky, but it was VDS's bad judgement. Second goal was probably Gigg's fault yeah, but it wasn't luck at all, it was class. You could say Man Utd were lucky that VDS got up and saved Kuyt's shot after he spilled the corner, or Man Utd were lucky when Benayoun beat the offside trap and drifted inside and if he controlled it better he'd have scored.

Sorry but we were all over you, for 80 minutes of the game we were the better side. NEVER was I worried that Man Utd would score after half time. I'm jyst glad that it came, or else it would have been 2 points dropped imo, and same old Liverpool against the other Top 4 teams.
