September 16, 200816 yr I never thought I'd say this, but out of GA / Dido / her, she has the best track. o_o;; That being said, I still think she's absolutely dire.
September 16, 200816 yr  at you comparing Leona to Hear'Say Why? Just because she is having instant sucess doesn´t mean she will last forever... Think how many popstars better then her were so big and then disappeared. Leona is definitely one of the biggest pop names this year, but her music has absolutely no personality, even "Bleeding Love"... sounds like just average pop done just for the sake of cashing in a reality show winner. Kelly Clarkson was better then this in the Breakaway era and look where she is now. Plus, by the fact that Girls Aloud and Dido are coming with brand new albums, while Leona´s is "just" a re-release, could it be that the hype for her will be much smaller?
September 16, 200816 yr Kelly Clarkson was better then this in the Breakaway era and look where she is now... ...About to release the biggest album of her career so far? Stop using Kelly as an example of being huge and then flopping. That album only "flopped" as such because the album had no promotion. Leona's will be promoted like hell. Simon Cowell will see to that.

That album only "flopped" as such because the album had no promotion. Leona's will be promoted like hell. Simon Cowell will see to that. Biggest album of her career? Joke of the year. Sorry, but she went from a 12 million seller to one that strugled to reach a million... She will ALWAYS be a classic example of flop. And bad promotion will always be used as an excuse for any flop. Obviously, when a label sees promotiong is not payng off they will not invest anymore, so an album that just kept selling on and on will push more and more promo, while an album that falls like a rock 2 weeks after its released (the case of Kelly´s last one), will not inspire the label to spend money away. But the huge difference in sales between Breakaway and My December, no matter how promotion was poor for the latter, just proves one thing: FANBASE doesn´t ensure anything for a pop artist. If people like Madonna and Mariah Carey had their flops and even their fanbase build in years have not been enough to ensure big sales for their flop albums, then there´s NOTHING that guarantee a one time sucessful reality TV act will remain sucessful for all her releases. FANBASE really means nothing, most of the people who are "fans" now will move on when the next reality TV act becomes big. If someone like MADONNA have missed the Top 10 a few times in her career, then it´s hilarious to say Leona or Girls Aloud had guaranteed #1´s based on "fanbase"... September 16, 200816 yr I love this song. I put #1, I really think it could do it. Also, does someone really genuinly believe it won't make Top 40? Lol.
September 16, 200816 yr #1 with out a doubt, its not on the original album, its VERY catchy, very radio friendly- will get alot of airplay. And shes premiering it on the xfactor. cant fail.
September 16, 200816 yr I see what you're saying but 'Bleeding Love' was really different from all the other American videos, whereas this doesn't really stand out as it is similar to man other video's :( and correct me if i'm wrong, does that mean everyone has to go all american if they want a video to have 'fun, Vibrancy and Energetic' in it? Look i like the video but it just shocked me as to how American it was. The UK BL vid was american as well i thought, it was made in america, certainly doesn't look English. The BIT video is the only one that looks really english. Since her music has to appeal internationally, and she has an american recording contract- who prob fund the vids, it makes sense that the videos arent always going to appear English.
September 16, 200816 yr Thats exactly what i thought and surely most spirit owners are at the opposite end of the market? People complain that she only ever does boring ballads and 'woe is me' videos, never anything fun and uptempo. So she does something fun and uptempo to different to appeal to a different market and people still complain... cant win can she?
September 16, 200816 yr her fanbase will take her to #1 not because its a good track or a memorable one at that, imo she isn't distinctive at all, she is still a karaoke queen. can emulate mariah, whitney and now...on this song at times she sings like toni braxton, deblah morgan and deborah cox all wrapped up in a mariah carey type video. very americanized totally tailoured to that market. Fanbase means nothing, look at mycfly, they get a decent position then they disappear of the face of the planet come next week. This song will stick around the top 10 for ages- and you'll be eating your words.. sorry but fanbase cant do that!.. tbh i think your over estimating the size of leonas fanbase, its hardly on take thats level is it. Her fanbase wasn't the reason BL was #1 for 7 weeks or the reason BIT stuck around for a while either, sorry. And wow a singer that can emulate all these people at once when they all sound nothing alike.. wow thats some achievement. Edited September 16, 200816 yr by utoia2004
September 16, 200816 yr Well all the GA fans who were complaining can now stop as Forgive Me has been pushed back to 3rd November. God knows why.

September 16, 200816 yr Well all the GA fans who were complaining can now stop as Forgive Me has been pushed back to 3rd November. God knows why. Well there was some competition (however slight people may think) on 27th Oct, in GA & Dido. I doubt Leona's team would want to leave anything to chance. Bit daft if that was the reason - she'd still have got to number 1. The only question is for how many weeks. Norma

The song is already getting radio play plus the video has been released and we're still so far away from the release. Makes no sense.

September 16, 200816 yr Could it also be to do with the timing of the final stages of the X Factor though? Norma Well we know Leon is on the first live show and apparently Girls Aloud on the third but the second seems to be open.

But Leona's downloads may still be released on the 27th?!
