What makes Britney a superstar? People instantly recognise her 'sound', her 'attitude' , no matter what.

She is going a bit too trashy(in the video, lol) for a brief period but, overall, it's a very good comeback.

I love Britney. Have all her albums. When I think she has done good I'll praise it, when she hasn't I wont. But there are Britney fans out there that are completly dilluded and will see the good side of anything she does. This video is good. not great. She gets nude and has allot of extra's in the video and it seems all to distract the fact that she can't deliver a killer dance routine anymore. Or that she can't be bothered to.

 

I expected more. And to be critical, isn't this video just an extension of the "Toxic" video? Brit and her altero ego's terrorising a guy?

Yeah I have seen it. Does she do anythin like that in the womanizer video? NOT AT ALL

Can I just ask, why that is a criticism? Toxic is one of the most applauded video's ever, and as it featured in the Break The Ice video aswell (including a 'to be continued...' to which the continuation is Womanizer) it features in this one too. I also feel the references to Toxic in this video are a statement from Jive that Britney is back, musically and personally, to how she was in the Toxic days.

 

And I don't see any 'killer' dance routines in the Toxic video (she danced a little in the plane aisle, and the laser but, but it was hardly a killer routine), and no-one suggested she couldn't do it, or couldn't be bothered, then :lol:

I seriously doubt Womanizer was the intendted continuation of Break The Ice. I might be wrong but wasn't Radar meant to be the follow up but they scrapped it and started the Circus project instead? And I don't see the "references" in the womanizer video to that of Toxic - they just took the basic idea and continued/stretched it. Don't get me wrong, its a good video. Visually its an "alright" video. But I would rather see the Britney we had in video's like "Me Against The Music" and "Slave For You". Being naked and looking good doesn't meen she's "back" in my eyes. And I don't meen to sound rude but it seems die hard britney fans will make any excuse for her.

 

I realise we didn't get a dance routine in the "Toxic" video. And im not saying she needs one in every video. But lets look back. "Gimmie More" - she walked round a pole allot. "Piece Of Me" - she shook her head, clapped her hands and this random "routine" with some girls in a toillete. Break The Ice - animated.

Seeing Britney on form again would be seeing britney PERFORM again. I think she has gotten lazy. Saying that the Womanizer video is miles better than any of the Blackout videos - step by step I guess

But then, how do we know this video isn't the video Radar would have been? If Radar had become a single (God forbid...) it could easily have had Womanizer's video, or one with very similar concepts or narratives thus it IS a continuation?

Yeah we don't know that. But in all likelyhood it would had been a different video. I doubt they would just change the song but use the same video concept.

Is it bad that I really like the Gimme More video?
