According to bbc.co.uk/electricproms, Keane will headline the London Koko venue on October 23. Chaka Khan will play at London Dingwalls on October 22. The acts join the likes of and The Streets, who will also perform as part of the series of gigs. The shows are set to be broadcast on BBC radio and TV channels. October 27, 200816 yr Author The Last Shadow Puppets were showered with bras and biscuits as they played the Hammersmith Apollo in London last night (October 26). Backed by string, horns and percussion, Alex Turner and Miles Kane found themselves receiving the odd gifts towards the end of a triumphant performance. Possibly a reference to 'Separate And Ever Deadly''s "biting butter and crumbs" lyrics, Turner spotted some nicely wrapped biscuits at the front of the stage. "There are some biscuits for you Miles," the Arctic Monkeys frontman told his bandmate, picking up the mid-show present ahead of 'The Time Has Come Again', which he dedicated to his "Nana". "Some people get knickers and stuff and you just get biscuits." He then added: "I beg your pardon - there are some gold knickers here, and a scarf. I think they're using the front as a cloakroom. We are grateful for the biscuits." The pair then briefly left the stage. When they returned they played a cover of Leonard Cohen's 'Memories', although Kane was closer to Tom Jones when he picked up a large bra that had been thrown onstage before draping it on Turner's microphone stand, as yet more items of clothing were thrown onstage. The track was one of several covers in the set - the others David Bowie's 'In The Heat Of The Morning', The Beatles' 'I Want You (She's So Heavy)' and Lee Hazlewood and Nancy Sinatra's 'Paris Summer', which saw Rosie Cunningham from support act Ipso Facto dueting with Kane. The pair's set focussed in the main on their 2008 debut LP 'The Age Of The Understatement', but also included B-sides 'Hang The Cyst' and 'Gas Dance' in the set. The Last Shadow Puppets wrapped the show up with a storming version of 'Standing Next To Me', triggering a loud sing-a-long from the sold-out crowd that included Primal Scream's Bobby Gillespie, Pet Shop Boys' Neil Tennant and Radio 2 DJ Chris Evans.
