I think all signs have pointed towards that being the third single for quite a while now, I don't think it'll be such a bad choice (when it's confirmed).

it would be great if it goes top 10, does anyone know roughly its total sales up until now?

Not heard anything about sales since Christmas but after 5 weeks it was on 100k. I'd guess around 130k now?

It's year-end total of 2008 was 93,000, so 130,000 seems like a fair guess. Maybe slightly less.
