I've got a really good feeling about this album. I think it's Nicky's reference to the "choir of one" that's made me so excited. I almost they are rediscovering what made Enya so popular in the first place. The harmony vocals of Agnus Dei (Lamb of God) are absolutely stunning in this clip.

It could well be the first lead single I'll have liked since 1995. I was never very keen on 'Only Time' and really disliked 'Amarantine'.

I keep listening to this, it's so good.

I've listened to it quite a bit already myself. I hope the clip is really her, but it sounds just like her, so it has to be.

Odaisul, goose bumps are these little raised bumps I get on my skin when I hear a good song..it happens a lot with Enya songs, they are usually haunting..like a lot of Watermark tracks have given me them, I get them from a few on Amarantine..I got them when I heard this new clip, I get them when I hear certain Moya songs...

ok, im loving this new track, so sounds good, much darker.

I want it now

This song is fantastic. :w00t: Really hope it can do well. :D

I've never been so disappointed by an Enya track! I couldn't believe what I was hearing at 9.15 this morning. I had loved the 30 second clip that found its way onto Youtube over the weekend and was hopeful that this was going to be a really good, dark, haunting track. And so it is. For the first 30 seconds and then it all goes a bit wrong.

By the time the chorus kicks in it's become a clumsy, cluttered mess of a song. The verses and choruses don't blend together neatly. The chorus has a weak, annoying, jerky (and rather tuneless) melody. Enya's voice is buried in the mix a bit. The beautiful Agnus Dei choral vocals at the beginning only briefly pop up again at the end.

It's a bit experimental and I suppose I should give them some credit for that. But really, I thought it was going to be a masterpiece after having loved the title and the clip. I'm stunned at what a weak song it is...in terms of melody, lyrics and arrangement.

Sorry for being so negative. I know that I will love the album - it's just this track that disappoints me.

I think that Enya should have a Train in the cover instead of a Horse.

It will have a train with Enya in the video of the song,.....I think it obvious.

Can some English speaker put here the lyric of what listen??

For those of us who missed listening to the "Trains and Winter Rains" at BBC2, here we go :)

I found this track (recorded from the radio) posted in another site:

Edit: We aren't allowed to post that type of file.

Lyrics:

city streets passing by

underneath stormy skies

neon signs in the night

red and blue city lights

cargo trains falling by

once again someone cries

trains and winter rains

no going by, no going home

trains across the plains

and in the sky, a star alone

everytime 'is this it?'

one more night, one more train

everywhere empty rooms

where they go no one knows

chorus x3

Thanks

Listening :jump: :rap: :kink:  :dancing: :yahoo:

I think it's a really good tune. Not sure what I prefer yet - Trains and Winter Rains or Womanizer - though. :P

Wogan sounded quite drunk when he was introducing it didn't he?! I'm liking the song, although admittedly it's not the best she's ever done, and I agree with Ben in that the chorus and verses don't really blend together too well.

You mean the lyric ,the melody or the sound??

Now i'm excited about the video of the single....what you think how it will be??

I imagine a train crossing a white forest, reaching a city, where Enya is,then in the end the train continues its way,and we see a star alone in the sky.

And you??

Ooh, I love it! It's gorgeous.

I think Ben has an interesting idea though; it would be awesome to hear something that went along the lines of the first 30 seconds of the song as well; it's gorgeous. However, I love the song as it is!
