Great isn't it now all they need to do now is to update FC to 5 X Platinum. ;)

Here's some more info from Music Week, thanks to Willsdoc.

Having shifted a sturdy 837,000 copies of Young's first album, From Now On, BMG saw the follow up Friday's Child add another 94.3% sales to take it beyond 1.6m. To further underline his credentials as an act with longevity, Young's third album, Keep On is still only 3 singles in but has to date managed more than 840,000 retail sales.

It sure does. Brilliant. :yahoo: Now all Sony/BMG have to do is get their finger out and fill in the BPI forms for the 5xplatinum for FC.

Amazing sales for Will, considering a lot of people have seen Keep On as a flop :o

Why do the record company need to apply for the certification? I thought it was just awarded to them

What a pity we still don't get to know what the download sales have been for Keep On. I suppose they must be over 60K otherwise Sony/Bmg wouldn't have applied for his 3x platinum status

Well done! :D

Extremely similar sales to Taller In More Ways is it?

I thinks so, up to now anyway. :D have you got tickets for the TT tour to see the girls? B)

They have to let the BPI know the sales figures.

They have to let the BPI know the sales figures.

The record company also have to pay the BPI for the awards, BMG are usually too tight to apply for them, that's why Will still hasn't been awarded 5x platinum for FC, although I think now it's Sony/BMG it's a lot better.

Here it is, all nice and official on the BPI site. :cheer:

Still think KO has a lot of life in it yet ..... go Will! :yahoo:

Lovely to see this. Hope he does release a 4th single from KO. A nice up-beat one to round of the promo would go down very nicely I think :)
