Is HB to be shown on BBC or ITV........the latter has a lot of problems. Wonder if programmes will be affected.

Hotel Babylon has always been on BBC1 ,and always on a Thursday @ 9pm :)

STV are choosing not to show some of the network's programmes. Last week they dropped the new series of Moving Wallpaper and of Al Murray, although they still had them on their own and other programme guides and intend putting out more regional content instead.

 

I think all TV is struggling to find original ideas. Far too many repeats or near-copies.

Apparently ITV are dropping Heartbeat and Wire In The Blood. I've always thought Wire In The Blood was an excellent series and will be really sorry to see it go. Also they are no longer going to run This Morning through the summer holidays with the other presenters. Sue

I never watched Wire In The Blood,but i loved Heartbeat so i'm really going to miss that,thats like losing a Landmark :( !Shame about This Morning's Summer run too!

Channel 5 are also sacking people too...........i dont think anyone will miss anything on there though somehow!! :lol:

I watch channel 5 at times. Not that I watch much of anything really.

It looks like the series isn't being continued. This was the 'other information' on the 'Hotel Babylon' page. My daughter will be sad as she loves this.

I didn't either. It was only when I started asking around that I realised just how many people loved it - specially teens to twenties.

We never know what to expect as Darius fans - it's a rollercoaster, but I'm not getting off.

 

 

I am beginning to expect such things...Darius is not blessed with luck is he! and that is the key to success in many things.

But he has recorded it and now has more experience of recording in a tv series. It's certainly not down to him that the series stops. I think it'll still stand him in good stead.

Its such a shame that Hotel Babylon has now been axed,its so gutting we wont see Darius in it now :( ,and that other people wont get the chance to see how good an actor he is too :( .It must be hard on Nigel Harmen too, i bet he was looking forward to being the new Manager

I wouldn't discount it being shown some time in the future, perhaps on one of the BBC's digital channels rather than BBC1. The money's already been spent.

 

I do understand that all the TV channels are being affected by rising costs for drama and costume series and that they are cutting back production.

I hope it is shown - I doubt it will be in the USA though, which may have helped him. I wonder if the 3rd thing has already happened to him or whether it'll be tripping him up soon. He does seem to have undeserved bad luck.

It just seems like one thing after another. I really hope we're not waiting for number three, don't think I can stand it. There's a saint Jude who is supposedly the patron saint of hopeless situations. I'm beginning to think it's time to have a word with her. ;) Darius's luck certainly seems to be a hopeless situation. :rolleyes: Sue

I certainly don't think that the show has been 'axed' completely - perhaps 'put back' at bit!! Nothing certainly happens for Darius the way he thinks it is going to!!! :( The notice at the top of the 'Hotel Babylon' site has been there since the first time I looked and way before DS announced that Amy Nuttall had been signed to film in the last two episodes. I should imagine that when the BBC do decide to go with the series a new website with all the new cast will be shown..... but, of course, .... we may have a while to wait yet!!! :unsure:

 

I just hope that we will see Darius involved with another project very very soon!!!! Apparently auditions for POTO 2 are beginning this week or next, so if Darius is seen in the UK in the near future, we can but hope..... or dream!! :D

I'd like that. I'd also be quite happy with him doing G&D when it returns to the West End. And I'd love to hea the new album. Everytime there's a change on his myspace i keep wondering if it's getting ready for that.
