July 1, 200916 yr Author That's a shame. I watched last weeks on iplayer. I think I preferred the last half of the first episode.
July 1, 200916 yr I wish they'd find another way of rounding up one of the plots every show than some guest sleeping with another - it's pretty tedious.
July 3, 200916 yr Episode 3 Friday 3rd July 2009 Hotel Babylon is alive with treasure hunters following the posthumous publication of a famous thief's autobiography. In the book, it is claimed that he hid a stash of valuable emeralds in the hotel, years ago. The hotel staff also join the hunt and, having discovered a secret room in the basement, a heavily pregnant Anna is determined to secure the precious stones for herself. That is until Ben spills the beans to the rest of the gang and Anna is rumbled. Events take a twist when Anna goes into labour and Tony's secret plan seems set to come to fruition when a familiar face returns to the hotel. Elsewhere, Gino thinks he's helping Arthur Barnes, a scruffy chap, to live out his final days at Babylon but, to his horror, he realises that his trust has been betrayed in the most sinister way. Meanwhile, Juliet gives Tony the task of looking after Constance Evergreen, a senile old movie star who is proving such a handful that Tony's secret plan threatens to collapse. Sounds like fun. I hope they don't jump between plots too much.
July 3, 200916 yr Author I'll be watching on iplayer again. So much easier than trying not to aupset anyone by not having the channel they want on.
July 3, 200916 yr I watch quite a lot of programmes on iplayer. I love the convenience of watching whenever I like.
July 3, 200916 yr The girl who plays the receptionist, the pregnant one, was interviewed on This Morning because she's leaving the programme and at the end, they played a quiz to find out what she knew about the guests who had appeared on the show. She got all the answers right except two and of course one of those was about Darius. She was asked which Pop Idol runner up was a guest at the hotel and she didn't know finally guessing Gareth Gates! Typical! Sue
July 3, 200916 yr Author Maybe she's not in it any longerr when he is. The PI thing gets on my nerves now anyway.
July 3, 200916 yr looking on the bright side..huhum - perhaps she didnt associate Darius with PI, thats why she didnt equate his name with being a PI runner up...its so long ago,
July 3, 200916 yr She's left by the time of his episode so isn't likely to have met him on set. Gareth Gates was the Pop Idol runner-up not Darius. We don't have the American system of second and 3rd runner-up. They're not showing HB at all next week which puts episode 6 on 31st July. Edited July 3, 200916 yr by Baytree
July 3, 200916 yr I enjoyed tonight's episode. Honor Blackman was great as usual and at least one thing that's irked me has been cleared up. Does anyone have a cast list in their TV mag which shows who played Olivia? Again, I thought she was in it more than some of those who are listed as guests for the episode.
July 4, 200916 yr Author I don't. I've still not watched last night's other than the last few minutes, as I was getting Mum to bed.

July 19, 200916 yr Thanks Meg. I wonder how much his character will be in it? After waiting all this time I hope it's not an anti climax! Must admit I wasn't too impressed with last week's episode. Sue
July 19, 200916 yr Author No, I think last weeks was my least liked. Not the same writers for Darius' episode though. I don't like 'slippery'
July 21, 200915 yr At last..... I just had a quick look in next week's TV and Satellite whilst in Tesco and Darius is top of their 'Good Week barometer' with a comment about him being in Hotel Babylon and getting to show us what he can do other than sing There is also a picture of him in a scene from Hotel Babylon in their programmes of the week. No worries about how they have made him look - he looks great and towers over Nigel Harman!! :D Also, in New Magazine, Hotel Babylon is No.6 in their 'telly of the week' and shows the same picture with the following: 'Apparently insomnia is on the increase nowadays. That's not surprising when there are so many big questions to keep your mind buzzing at night. And the big question that's been keeping us awake lately is this: What's Darius Danesh up to? Well, here's the answer - he's in this week's Hotel Babylon as an Italian magazine editor who is using the hotel in a glossy photo shoot. Hurrah! Sleep at last.' ...... I assume they are trying to be funny!! or maybe not??!! Anyway, they have at least mentioned the programme in their top 10 and Darius seems to be getting all the publicity even though Kelly Osbourne and John Savident are also in the same programme, so that has got to be a good thing I hope that this will be that start of D continuing to promote himself again in the UK ready for the new album/gigs/shows, etc.... please Darius!!!!! Julie
July 21, 200915 yr That's great news Julie! As you say, lets hope it's not a one off but the beginning of bigger and better things. SOON!! Sue
