I wonder how they're going to do that because

there's still going to be angels and alike in the show.

I assume that as well as having, let's say, a closed-ended episode there'll be an arc which relates to the happenings of the individual episodes. I think there's something about fighting demons while heaven and hell are in disarray or something. :o

I think Sera Gamble will be really good. From the sounds of it they are going back to more enclosed episodes, but there's still going to be a major mythology arc. Glad there's going to be less of the Angels and Demons stuff...did get a bit tiring for me after a while.

Watched an interview with Eric Kripe a week or so ago where he basically said that that's the ending 80% he wanted...but i'd still guess there's elements of the shows ending he wants (as I think this will be the final season). Guess Bobby will finally get the chop at the end seeing as they've teased it so many times lol.

I really just hope the start of this season does well because s5 ended so badly

Season 5 gag reel

This is all the info I have managed to gather about Season 6 from a decent and official source:

- Ben Edlund is pleased with the direction for season six, impressed that they’ve all figured out a way to go.

- There will be a deep role reversal between the brothers. Dean is carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders with his family, while a disenfranchised Sam comes back and is all business about hunting. Sam will be pretty unsettled.

- In his words, the brothers will continue “their love/hate relationship based on a very troubled history.”

- Jared was next and man did he drop spoilers. Jaw droppers. Sam doesn’t know how or why he was brought back. They won’t dig into his experiences in Hell until around episode 9 or 10. Sam was brought back but didn’t hook up with Dean right away. He lets Dean live his life and goes on hunting without telling him he’s alive. There are definite changes in Sam’s personality. Sam eventually reunites with Dean because a monster that was after Sam goes after Dean. He won’t talk about what happened to him. He’s all business and doesn’t want to question how he got out.

- Eric Kripke revealed that they will be bringing back all sorts of monster, including a Djinn and Vampires. Something has happened to cause these monsters to act strangely and abnormally. They aren’t following their usual patterns.

- Eric may not be the showrunner, but he is still very much involved with the show and working the stories. They are working out episode nine right now. They’ve written up to episode five.

- Jim Beaver said that the Crowley demon deal gets full attention in episode four, the one Jensen directed. He wouldn’t hint on the resolution, but it’s all about that.

- Bobby is indeed affected by the events of the apocalypse and Bobby is determined to become a stronger person.

- Jensen is really excited that the reset button has been set on the show and that they are starting over. He is a big fan of season one and pleased to see them going back to that tone.

- Castiel won’t appear until the third episode of the season. They are getting ready to shoot that.

- Jensen said that Dean isn't driving the Impala! It's under a tarp in the garage.

- Jensen said that he approached directing based on advice from Kim Manners. He did his homework. He found the process very tough.

- There is a montage in the first ep of Dean in his normal life, going to bed with Lisa, driving the truck to the construction job, etc.

- Sam comes back and starts hunting without asking questions, leaves Dean to live his normal life until a problem forces them together.

- The premise of season six is monsters will be surfacing and acting strangely. There will be a Djinn early on.

- Sera Gamble said that there will be a funny Vampire episode where vampires start coming out in the day an acting different than before.

- The working title of that episode is "Live Free and Twi Hard."

It seems interesting and I am going to watch the show still but if it doesn't pick up then I'm going to jump ship and I rarely do that with a TV show no matter how bad it gets [Heroes excluded]. I'm just still very disappointed about the horrible mess that was Season 5. I believe it was all changed at the last minute because they saw the opportunity to make more episodes and rushed around to try and make something that would be able to be continued.

Negativity aside and the premise etc of Season 6 does sound promising.

Hello,

Thank god they're going back to basics with S6. I just hope they fix their relationship soon, I'm tired of all the angst.

The premise does sound very intruiging for the 6th season. Will definitely be the last. Sam and Dean have swapped roles appaz.

I think the first few eps might be full of angst :(

whats the premier date of season 6

24/09 is the US premier date

Supernatural is one show where continued angst does not suit it

I want the return of the giant teddy bear.

Supernatural is the best show. I really like to watch this show online. Its my favorite TV show. The story of the show is also amazing.

  • 5 weeks later...

6.01 was average at best.

A real let down for me. Hope next week is better.

I think I'm finally over this show :( It COULD still get better but I just don't see it really. I was so confused by a lot of what was going on. The two people working with Sam were djins? I just felt the chemistry, the writing everything was missing. It was a very clumsy start to the season and that's not good considering how much uproar there was from the fan community over the season 5 conclusion. There wasn't even any humour :(

Fingers crossed it gets better.

I think they're not being any humour was a part of the script (well, the golf club thing was meant to be humours, but it was more tounge-in-cheek opposed to in your face...). The episode showed how much Sam and Dean have drifted apart. Dean's become a family man and Sam's kept on being a hunter. I thought their conversation was pretty touching, even though I hate the new Dean.

As for the episode I kinda liked it. It got a bit boring in parts, but I thought it was good and there's certainly potential. I'm interested in the Campbell's...although I am not sure what their agenda actually is. They obviously need Sam & Dean more than Sam & Dean need them...

The episode was ok, but it gave me a feeling of nothingness or numbness, I don't know. It all feels a bit "off" for me. I hated the apocalypse storyline and it was always gonna be a weird storyline after that, I just hope things improve this season. I'm tired of Sam's smug face, and I'm tired of emo Dean. I want them to go back to the days when they had a really great relationship, that was the glue that kept the show together. The Campbells... a big fat meh from me.

I'm waiting till the third ep to see if Castiel's return shakes things up a bit and/or gets the ball rolling
