May 9, 201015 yr Or maybe if Sam can't release himself from Lucifer, they'll be trying to rescue him next season. I loved the guest characters of this eppy, especially Death. So cool. Not sure about Sam being strong enough for Lucifer, sounds a bit far fetched. And Bobby, Cas and Sam being ok with him taking demon blood again is kinda iffy. Surely Michael will eventually get to Dean in the end, because he is his one true vessel, not Adam.
May 9, 201015 yr Author I can't see them prolonging the Lucifer thing to next season though. Somehow they'll end it this year. 40 minutes seems too short for them to wrap this whole thing up, but i'm expecting Sam to say yes to Lucifer fairlu early on in the episode. Perhaps he'll end up being that one that kills someone? If he killed Bobby as Lucifer maybe that would be the catalyst to get Sam to over-take his body again?
May 10, 201015 yr Cas as human and Bobby walking were two big shockers :o It's too hard to form a real guess as to who's going to die, besides the obvious ones like Nick (Lucifer's current vessel) and possibly Adam, Crowley and then there's talk of Cas or Bobby dying. But really if Dean cheats Death you'd think Death would kill either Dean or Sam.
May 10, 201015 yr They're going to end Lucifer this season. It's always been said. Season 6 is apparently going to return to the show's roots and focus on the brother's relationship much like Season 1 did. I guess it's a new beginning. I was still underwhelmed by the episode last week though. I just have expected better all season from Satan ffs! I hope the finale is epic and God makes an appearance though I wonder how on Earth they're going to fit everything into 45 minutes! Edited May 10, 201015 yr by GrAmii
May 11, 201015 yr Author Talk is next season may be aired mid-season meaning it could be an 11 ep season Yep i've heard that. Although I don't think they'll do that. HOPEFULLY it will end up in the Friday 9pm slot as a full 22 episode order.
May 11, 201015 yr Why would The CW do that? It makes sense to move the show back after Smallville Fridays at 9pm. I don't see them launching any of their new shows in such a slot and nothing existing really fits with Smallville other than Supernatural. That said maybe they just want to make room on their schedule as they do actually have about 3 good pilots that if picked up would mean less shows about spoilt, rich sluts :heehee:
May 11, 201015 yr Author I think The CW are planning for the future. Vampire Diaries is probably their biggest show now and it will gain a good lead-in for whatever show they put in the 9pm Thursday slot. Supernatural is not going to get big ratings anymore, it's too much of an established show. But it does make no sense whatsoever to make it a mimi series. I'd be extremely annoyed if this was the case, especially since Smallville and One Tree Hill are still being bummed to death when they died creatively as shows a few seasons ago.
May 12, 201015 yr Hot news Smallville ends its run, after 10 years, Superman is getting killed off, thank god for that - Source: Sci-Fi Magazine
May 12, 201015 yr It should never have gotten renewed for another season, its atrocious that a show can go on for 10 seasons with such atrocious ratings while much better shows get cancelled with much higher ones. Especially these last 3 seasons, season 7 should've been their last.
May 12, 201015 yr Best quote ever From the episode : Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid Dean Winchester says: "They are idiots, they can't pick a lock" Amyone else got favourite quotes from any seasons
May 12, 201015 yr It should never have gotten renewed for another season, its atrocious that a show can go on for 10 seasons with such atrocious ratings while much better shows get cancelled with much higher ones. Especially these last 3 seasons, season 7 should've been their last. I personally think Smallville was always weak and unimaginative. Sure I liked Seasons 1-5 and found them good to watch but they weren't exactly groundbreaking. It did start to get VERY ridiculous after the 100th episode though I've noticed it's been a bit better as of late. ATM The CW has about 4 new shows that could air next year. One about Changlings based on a book series called Betwixt looks like a solid contender to take the 9pm Thursday slot. Ever since I heard about that pilot I expected the Supernatural move. It's the 13 episodes I can't get my head around... All will be revealed next week anyway :D
May 14, 201015 yr Anyone else seen the finale yet? It's a bit to take in. Sam: look after them for me Castiel: that's impossible Sam: humor me Castiel: oh I'm supposed to lie...sure they'll be fine Sam: stop, stop talking
May 15, 201015 yr Author Really enjoyed the finale. I feel a bit coped out that they tease a big death, and then the death is probably Adam. I did think Castiel and Bobby were both dead for a while though! I wonder where next season's going? I'd guess like Season 4 it'll take place 6 months to a year after this season. Dean will be in a happy life and someone will kill Lisa/his son? Seems plausible to me.
May 15, 201015 yr Author Re-watched the episode. I think that's my favourite ending of each of the seasons. I imagine that's how they were going to end the show, with Sam dying. I wonder how he's back though? Did God bring him back? Or is he still actually Lucifer? I have a feeling he might have merged with Lucifer. I don't think the whole apocolypse storyline is done either, especially with God bringing Castiel back for a reason. Can't wait to see what happens next season and how Dean reacts to finding out his brother never really died. Also, Chuck = God??
May 15, 201015 yr I must say it didn't leave me as excited for September as The Vampire Diaries but it was still an awesome finale! It's just a shame the rest of the season was so lame in comparison because that was the best SPN finale since Season 2 in my opinion. I'm interested as to the direction the show takes now. Loved the scene where Sam/Lucifer were talking in the mirror. Also the whole deal with the car and the fact that Chuck may or may not be God... Castiel as usual providing humour  However, I do feel if they decide to kill Dean's new family, it really would be a cliched and poor imitation of what started the series in the first place. I see Sam's 'return' as one of many things: God bought him back The horseman rings failed and he's still with Satan He's now an angel or demon or some such [why did the street light flicker?] It was a spirit Hmmm. :(
May 16, 201015 yr I thought it was disappointing, the episode was a bore. It just dragged... the whole season is a mess. And really, 5 years of mytharc for that ending? For a big battle between Sam and Adam while Dean has no active part in it after all the big fuss? Plus the whole thing was a non-fight really, just Sam and Michael falling into a hole... The dialogue between Michael/Lucifer was just grating and badly acted I thought, sounded like whiny teenagers moaning about dad. I'm so glad its not the series finale because that ending would've pissed me off. I do not care about Lisa or whoever she is, and I can't believe that Dean would just go over to her and start a new life, that's just not who he is. I mean we barely know anything about her, and why supposedly Dean cares about her. Plus we know he either wanted to die or bring sam back - not buying he would choose Lisa just because of a promise. He looked really unhappy and definitely not the life he wanted. And what is Sam back as? Definitely something different. Although if it really is him, staring at Dean having a "normal" life while he wonders off, feels odd and kinda ridiculous. Chuck is god, err ok. Wasn't he in the presence of that amulet, shouldn't it have burned then? Plothole. In fact most of S4 was retconned. Plus God standing there doing nothing while his sons fight, banging hookers, and also lying to Dean and Sam all the time seems kinda bull$h!tty. Must admit I was shocked with both deaths, but bringing them both back to life was overdone, Bobby should've remained dead. I wonder if that's the end of Castiel/Misha since he's back in heaven? He better come back because that would've been an awful send-off, and I like Cas a lot. But to stick by Dean all the time no matter what but then leave him once he got his powers back was lame. So being the true vessel in the end didn't matter, talk about making Dean useless and pointless to the mytharc. Crowley doesn't appear and we don't know what happaned with Bobby's soul. Another plothole. The whole thing just feels misjointed, almost apathetic. Like a big non-event. Totally different to how I felt about the series in the first seasons, it's just a different mood. The weakest season finale for me. Can't say i'm too anxious for next season either... Won't miss Kripke, if you biatch about fans complaining, then don't be lazy with the writing. If the show does end up next season, it better be Sam & Dean happily ever after hunting demons. Not in a slash way, but in a way that they complete each other and are happy together (they are in fact soulmates), dont wanna see them start families and having wives...so I want Lisa and Ben gone by the next episode please
May 16, 201015 yr I thought it was rather silly. Sam asking Dean to go to Lisa? That didn't really make sense, I get what she represents for them but it was very left field and forced. Cas coming back makes me think he'll be in s6 because he didn't really have a 'goodbye' ...I guess it's an open ended thing by the writers. Chuck narreted that Bobby wouldn't see Dean for a long time so I doubt he'll be in s6 much. I think Sam is back as just plain Sam. Either God or Death had something to do with his return. S6 will probably start a few months later and Dean'll find out Sam is still alive via a demon, Cas or something else.
May 16, 201015 yr That Lisa chick was in the episode with the Changlings right? Season 3/4. I can't remember which. She was like introduced as the love of Dean's life or some such and he believed for most of the episode that her son was actually his. It did seem weird to just have her suddenly pop up again after all this time. I know it's too early to call and start judging until some plan for Season 6 is unveiled and it premieres but right now after watching the eppy again and thinking about all the gaping plot holes/inconsistencies, I feel a bout of Smallville-Syndrome coming on over at Supernatural HQ :(
