Anna was a great character, I never picked the whole fallen Angel thing, it was really interesting. The scene with the Angels vs Demons was awesome and about damn time. Allister is also interesting, a demon strong enough to fight Angels. Now it might just be me but I kind of thought Castiel looked like he wants to lose his grace and fall. With each ep he seems to doubt things more and more. Also the ending with Dean talking about hell was cool.

I found it a bit boring. :lol: Some of the real mythology episodes I really don't like for some reason.

 

At least there wasn't a huge cliffhanger left for the winter break which is always a good thing from my perspective.

can someone just kill the new Ruby? The new actress is terrible and it seems like a totally different character. Its ruining my favourite S3 character which was played really well by Katie Cassidy. Or just bring Bela back from hell and send the new Ruby in.

I've warmed to her, but she's no way near as good as Katie Cassidy. But she's central to the mythology at the moment, and The CW cut Supernatural's budget, so they had to let Katie Cassidy go. :( I liked Bella too, but 90% of people seemed to hate her, so they killed her off...

Yeah. And they're the ones that dictate all the offical forums, so when the writers see them hating the female characters, they know they've gotta get rid!

both Bela and Ruby were immediately hated as soon as they revealed 2 new regular female characters in S3. The negativity around both actresses was just insane, they were even interviewed about it. They couldnt kick Ruby out cos she's essential to the mythology, but I think any other female character wont last long in this show. The writers should definitely stop taking their opinions so seriously though, its their show after all.

As for the new Ruby, the last 2 episodes were better but still a far cry from the S3 performances of KC. I feel that the new actress cant deliver her lines, she comes off so bland. She's supposed to be a badass demon, snarky, dangerous, but I dont get that feeling at all from her performances. Plus I feel that all her scenes are underperformed and that if KC was still there they would be a lot better. She brought charisma and attitude to her scenes. I feel that if she'll have to step it up in the last part of the season she will not be up to. Its just ruining the whole character for me.

I know what you mean. KC played Ruby very well - she was cunning and seductive, but you felt bad for her even though she was a demon. With the new Ruby you just don't get that feeling. She's pretty weak, and Ruby seems to have become softer. Even though she liked Sam, she was still manipulating him and KC played that role v.well, whereas I don't get that same vibe with the new Ruby.

So true, they hate all the female characters. You should see some of the fans on Live Journal, it's scray sometimes. Anna is now their currently most hated character :wacko:

A siren casts a spell on Sam and Dean while they are on a mission in Iowa which leads them to some very dangerous and violent behavior.

Don't get me wrong the season four stand alone eps have been brilliant; ie Yellow Fever.

 

It's just this ep wasn't anything to good. Perhaps I'm just looking forward to a big ol' Angel smitting fest, starting with the new Ruby. :P

From what I've read te 4th season seems to be very poor. Angels? They did an episode previously when they all but shunned the existance of such creatures.
