November 6, 200816 yr Man, I hate this "only available to so and so" stuff. I know it's the company's (Warner) fault and it helps make money, but still... <_<
November 7, 200816 yr Warner are a waste of space tbh. Enya would be much better off with another record company... one that can actually promote would be good! Here's what it's looking like tonight... United Kingdom: #43 (up three) United States: #2 (non-mover) Canada: #1 (up two) Germany: #6 (up two) France: #41 (up 40) France have overtaken the UK now. :o
November 7, 200816 yr Man, I hate this "only available to so and so" stuff. I know it's the company's (Warner) fault and it helps make money, but still... <_< It would helped to make more money if they have available to the rest of the word.....its logic.
November 7, 200816 yr Author I hate it, too..but what can we do, it's Warner's fault. I can see this hitting #1 in the US soon! :yahoo: I am shocked that France is ahead of the UK now. :o If the album doesn't do well there, it's a HUGE shame because AWC is full of excellent songs.
November 7, 200816 yr France is still up and down, doesn't really show much. I can't see it stalling below #40 in the UK tbh, but then again, aside from Enya fans who visit her website regularly, no one in the UK will have a clue about its release! :(
November 8, 200816 yr Do you check the pre-order chart on Amazon? (I know I already ask this question but I'm still confused.) The album is now # 7 in the UK :D
November 8, 200816 yr That's decent actually for the pre-order chart. ^_^ Here's what it's looking like this evening... United Kingdom: #35 United States: #1 :D Canada: #1 Germany: #5 France: #58 Amazing news for the States, and it'll be fantastic if it can reach #1 on Billboard chart!
November 8, 200816 yr Not too much change, but here's another update... United Kingom: #32 (up three) United States: #1 (non-mover) Canada: #1 (non-mover) Germany: #2 (up three) France: #69 (down 11)
November 9, 200816 yr It's outstanding that it's #1 on Amazon US, it really is. I really hope it makes it to that on the Billboard chart - it'll be a historic day for Enya fans everywhere. :D
November 9, 200816 yr Here's how things are looking tonight... United Kingdom: #19 (up 13) United States: #1 Canada: #1 Germany: #2 France: #36 (up 33) Finally some progress in the UK, and apparently there have been loads of TV adverts in Ireland for the album, so I'm guessing there could have been quite a few here as well, but I've not seen as much TV as I had done in the Amarantine era.
November 10, 200816 yr Also going well on iTunes Ireland - has been hovering around the top five all day, so that suggests it's going to do well there too, which will be good as Amarantine only went to #15 or something.
November 10, 200816 yr Author Good! She doesn't typically do too well in Ireland, does she? Edited November 10, 200816 yr by On Your Shore
November 10, 200816 yr Finally some progress in the UK, and apparently there have been loads of TV adverts in Ireland for the album, so I'm guessing there could have been quite a few here as well, but I've not seen as much TV as I had done in the Amarantine era. I saw a TV ad tonight (Sunday) around 8:30 on the Food Network, so apparently promo has started, or already started; who knows, I rarely watch TV so I was lucky I guess. The Food Network always does ads for new Enya albums tho. :D Wooooooooooohoooooooo! #1 on Amazon! I was expecting that, but I'm still delighted! Yay yay yay! Now the UK just needs to do some promoting, and RIGHT NOW!!! :arrr:
November 11, 200816 yr Here is the latest from Amazon tonight... United Kingdom: #12 (up seven) United States: #1 (non-mover) Canada: #1 (non-mover) Germany: #4 (down two) France: #7 (up 29) Looking good all round now - I don't think it'll be long before the album goes top ten in the UK either as it's shot up quite a bit over the past couple of days. And amazing for France too! A quick iTunes update now... United Kingdom: #25 - this is good because this time yesterday it wasn't in the top 100 and it has been climbing rapidly all day. Il Divo are pretty much guaranteed our #1 spot this week and they're currently at #15, so it's going alright now. ^_^ Germany: #2 - excellent here for Germany too and I expect the album to go top three here in the official charts. France: #10 - good stuff here in France too. :D Ireland: #2 - and of course this is excellent for Ireland.
