Posted September 22, 200816 yr I have spent days looking for a song from a CD I recently had, that has since dissapeared. No idea on CD title but the song was at later end of CD and was about her singing to / about a long lost / illegitamate child..why she had to give up because being young etc Can anybody help?
September 22, 200816 yr It's "God Bless the Child" from her album The Woman in Me. Went to #1 in Canada!
September 22, 200816 yr Author Thanks for your reply. Have listened to it and it's def not the one I am looking for :( . From memory it's quite an upbeat rythum. Any other ideas? It's driving me nuts not being able to find it.
September 22, 200816 yr Well I don't know Shania too well. If you have iTunes, you can listen to clips of all her songs. There are also web sites where you can find songs and videos (at least 30 second clips) like youtube.com, amazon.com, last.fm I did a google search for "shania twain child lyrics" and the one I mentioned is the only one that came up... Any idea of any other lyrics from the song? Have you tried posting this on a Shania Twain-specific forum? Maybe her web site has an official forum?
September 23, 200816 yr Author Found it ! Found it ! Phew ! It is ' I aint going down ' ( red album version ) Thanks to evryone for your help anyway
September 24, 200816 yr Yes, you are right. Listen to country version and world version of this song, too. They are amazing :)
September 24, 200816 yr Yes, I wonder why it wasn`t released as a single at least in the United States and Canada. IMO, it would achieve great results here :)
September 24, 200816 yr Yeah I agree, it would've done so well, then again all the singles she released from Up! were really good
September 24, 200816 yr Yeah, but as we discussed earlier, she stopped to promote Up! when it was still SO high on charts, especially in Europe. :)
September 24, 200816 yr But it was quite problematic for her IMO, she spent 1.5 years on her UP! TOUR and she harmed her voice on it :(
September 24, 200816 yr Plus she needed time to rest. so yeah, but Up did a really great job on the charts IMO.
