In February 1970, he became the first (and still the only) person to appear on BBC Television's Top Of The Pops fronting three different acts in one show: Edison Lighthouse (who were number one that week), White Plains, and Brotherhood of Man. Afterwards, he was told that he would be unofficially blacklisted from the programme as listeners might think it was a "fix", with his appearing so often.

If you are talking musicians as opposed to singers then this could see some pretty large amounts:

i.e. Andy Newmark (Drummer):

Sly & The Family Stone, then.... John Lennon, B.B. King, Eric Clapton, David Bowie, Bryan Ferry, George Harrison, Rickie Lee Jones, Randy Newman, Pink Floyd, Roger Waters, Ronnie Wood, David Gilmour, Roxy Music, ABC, Laura Nyro, Elkie Brooks, Sting, and George Benson.

But for vocalists I can think of two off the top of my head:

Paul Rodgers

Free

Bad Company

Solo career

The Firm

The Law

Queen + Bad Company

and.....

Paul Carrack:

Warm Dust

Ace

Roxy Music (backing vocalist/keyboards only)

Squeeze (twice)

Mike & The Mechanics

Roger Waters (he sung on Rogers solo albums)

Spin 1ne 2wo

& solo of course

Ronnie James Dio - Elf, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Dio and made various guest appearances with other bands such as Deep Purple and Tenacious D
