LOL, i love Gabby. Her and her daughter were hilarious, its so sad that Mike and Susan have split though.

I think they've spoilt Gabby a bit. I use to laugh so much at all her quotes, now shes the opposite of why I loved her.

Gabby has been my favourite from the beginning and I know exactly what you mean. But I've always felt they've just sterotyped her to that role for so long. The glamourous one with one-liners and who is also unfaithful. This series she really has a storyline with grit which I've always wanted from her. Proves what an excellent actress Eva Longoria is too :P

Season 5 has slipped into utter mediocrity. Having watched the first 6 episodes now I am nothing short of disappointed. Some poor acting, wishy-washy unfocused storylines. Are we back in Applewhite Doomsville? :(

This season has been rather poor in my opinion

Season 5 is possibly the best since Season 3... okay I realise that's not a big statement LOL, but Season 4 was wonderful and so far this is just love. My only criticism is that three eps in and there's been little of Katherine which is disappointing given how she stole the show toward the end of last season, but it's so much more character-driven now, which is a LOT more interesting. Also Susan is even more heavenly than ever, and Gabby has some incredible sharp lines.

I kind of agree. Series 5 so far has been great for me. Katherine seems pretty pointless this season...after a huge story in the last one it's just weird that now she just seems like a Bree-hang-on.

 

Weirdly it's Edie that seems to be having the big story this season. The mystery/suspicion ala Series 1 :wub:

Season 5 has been great so far, funnier than ever and I prefer this storyline to the Dylan fiasco last season. The only downside is that Gabby looks like a mess and she's not as selfish as she used to be - which is what made her so great.

 

I'd agree with Ryan's rank, season 1 will not be beaten but I wouldn't say season 2 was awful, but it's storyline is definately the weakest out of all of them.

I just hate the Susan/Jackson storyline. It's so...pointless. We had the Mike/Susan will they won't they c**p several times before. Things are only worsened by his general wooden character and by the wooden actor playing him. Teri Hatcher was bad enough on her own...

Firstly Teri is godly and secondly I think Jackson is wonderfully portrayed. :o Mike was much more wooden than Jackson is LOL.

Yeah me being a bit ott there...wasn't awful but it was pretty lame in comparison to all the other seaons.

 

As for the whole Susan thing. I like her but she is becoming a bit of a bore. Jackson/Mike thing just isn't interesting at all. I also think she is nothing without Julie.

This year isnt as great is it. Katherine is under-used, Lynette seems to be going round in circles, Gabby was much better before but i guess she did need something else to do, Eddie's husband just doesnt interest me at all and Susan desperately needs Julie back.

its slightly dissapointing so far after the great series 4, but its not as bad as series 3.

 

I hope Katherine becomes a bigger part of the show once again.

 

One thing i am not liking at all is Susans storyline with her new boyfiend who i really dont like and am not warming to at all. it kinda makes all the drama with mike seem pointless.

I disagree with the last 3 posts because the last few weeks american episodes have been thrilling and wait til you see them before making the judgement the city on fire episode in particular was very well recieved in america

i just want mike & susan to get back together...it took them forever & a day to finally tie the knot & gte pregnant...now theyre not even together any more...i loved them!

I agree, it's taken us 4 seasons for them to finally get together and be happy and now they've broken up, its really rather frustrating.

But thats the fun of it! :P

 

I really enjoyed Sunday's epi (the one that airs on C4 tomorrow). It was ultra-fabulous. Bree's 'call me if he steals your heart!' line was SO funny. I felt like it was the first time this series that Lynette has really been interesting too. I thought I had the Tom thing sussed until that twist at the end! Great stuff.
