But alternatively it could be Susan - he'd be wondering if it was the right thing because he'd left her on their wedding day and got engaged to his ex-wife again. I can't see it being Katherine; Mike isn't the sort to kiss other women.

I think it's Susan. I would have thought Susan would go to Katherine and Mike's wedding, but not the other way round. Then again, MJ wasn't there was he? Surely he'd have gone to his parents wedding?

Basically this has been a successful cliff hanger. :heehee:

I bet it's neither of Katherine and Susan..

And I haven't watched this episode yet need to catch it sometime.

A reason why Susan wasn't there was because she was in love with Mike again and she couldn't face it and that's why MJ isn't there.
I've heard that Carlos' neice has something to do with the mystery next year. It's about time that Gaby was directly involved in one. Lynette's turn in season seven methinx.

I've just so totally gotten behind with DH... I've only actually started downloading Series 5 now....

This may have been debated earlier in the thread, but I dont wanna go trawling through old posts and being confronted with spoilers, so I'll ask it here...

Just why the hell did the prog makers jump 5 years....? I dont get it tbh.....

Seems to me that they were probably getting dry on ideas for storylines so bringing it forward 5 years gave them a chance to give the characters a new lease of life. (Gabrielle being poor with kids, Bree with her successful career etc.)

But by the end of the series the 5 years in the future seems a bit more pointless as...actually I'll stop there, you'll probably see what I mean when you get to the end of the series.

Do they need a reason? It was just something to do I suppose. A bit of a spectacle for viewers.

I don't think you'll like Season 5 so much to be honest. A lot of fans haven't been so impressed with it. For me the fundamental flaw has been the running storyline with Dave which just wasn't that gripping (until the end) and changed direction too many times. I'm still going to keep watching of course because even when DH is at its weakest it's one of the best imports (by far my favourite in fact, alongside Medium). The best thing about this season has doubtless been Gaby, and the

Edie tribute episode

(<<<major spoiler!) was wonderful.

I do really hope Karl is a regular again next series. The man is a genius.

I thought the storyline with Dave was gripping throughout the whole series. :o The only thing was that the series was so long that you kinda just wanted it to reach it's climax already. His character actually helped make the housewife the story is linked to more interesting, I usually dislike her.

This Season seems so long, I can't believe it started with the 5 years in the future thing. I'm trying to remember how much of it Scott will know.

Well, it kinda helps if there's some kind of logical reason for it.... I mean, I totally got why the makers of Terminator SCC jumped ahead 7 or 8 years at the beginning of the show, made sense actually, there was some kind of logic behind it all, here it just seems arbitrary.... Aaron could have a point about things maybe flagging a bit.... It IS kinda fun to make Gaby the super-sexy ex-model a sort of frumpy Hausfrau with obese kids though... But the whole Susan/Mike marriage meltdown had BETTER be properly explained beyond it just being about a car crash....

I have to agree with Medium also... I'm catching up with that on DVD as well... What a brilliant series, and isn't Patricia Arquette just absolutely astounding in the role of Allison....? More than earning her Emmy, this is frankly some of the best acting I've seen any actress do in any, er, medium...LOL..... But let's not forget the great acting done by Jake Weber as Joe, they feed off each other superbly, probably the most convincing married couple I've ever seen on a TV show, and the kids are great as well.... Medium just knocks the absolute sh!t out of Ghost Whisperer (which I used to like until it went totally idiotic and Buffy-lite in series 3).....

At the moment I'd say my fave US imports are Battlestar Galactica (not quite finished with it yet...), Supernatural, House, Burn Notice, Fringe, Medium, Lost, Dexter and Law and Order SVU... Dollhouse has potential, but so far I've only seen a couple of episodes....

Yes, I totally agree with all of that. Medium is brilliantly believable although some of the small details do make me chortle; the way Allison bolts upright after every dream and how Joe asks every time 'You had another dream?'. You'd think he'd know by now! Allison is one of the best characters of any TV series and Patricia radiates warmth (and she's stunning). Not with the short bob from season 3 though! :heehee:

Come on, give the bloke a break, he's half-conscious, roused out of a deep sleep, doesn't really know what he's saying... TBH, I think that's part of the fun... Joe, very tiredly and wearily saying "Another dream, Ali.....?" I bet that's what the real Joe does as well..... :P Being in a relationship is all about the little things, quirks, repetitions, like that.... tbh, I think it just makes them more human and real.... They're people, not cyphers like the overly-glam, too-good looking-to-be-true "forensic" team on CSI Miami....

Well they do go into it a bit more but it basically does just revolve around the car crash.

Just thought of something, who was this?:

Excited about the finale :cheer:

Marc Cherry says a major character from the first 2 seasons is back in the last 5 minutes of the finale and you'll be shocked!

Did it not happen in the end or have I forgotten it already?

^ It didn't :(

The plan was apparently scrapped last minute but I think is on the cards for season 6.

Ah, thought so. Do we know who the character was supposed to be?

Nope! Still keeping that quiet too! My money is on Felicia Tillman.

I assumed that was a reference to Karl and his return as a regular character?

Oh right, that would make sense, but he was in it for longer than 5 minutes of the final episode.

Id be dissapointed if it was Karl. Hoping for Betty but id say it's probably Felicia like Ryan said.
