imo, one of the best shows on MTV Europe, showcases the most popular songs in many countries across the world. How the chart works? Basically each week a random country is selected, and they play a song in their chart. For example, they could play the #6 hit in the UK, and that would be selected as #6 in the chart.

This week:

01 The Rasmus - Living In A World Without You [#1 in Finland]

02 Morandi - Angels (Love Is The Answer) [#2 in Slovenia]

03 Lady GaGa - Just Dance [#3 in Sweden]

04 Marco Borsato - Stop De Tijd [#4 in Holland]

05 Madcon - Beggin' [#5 in Malta]

06 Beatriz Luengo - Pretendo Hablarte [#6 in Spain]

07 Lisa - Drôle De Creepie [#7 in France]

08 Yves Larock - By Your Side [#8 in Portugal]

09 Guru Josh Project - Infinity 2008 [#9 in Germany]

10 Laurent Wolf - No Stress [#10 in Belgium]

Really, this is a good show. There was a whole weekend dedicated to it this last Saturday and Sunday. They played even songs from my country Bulgaria. It would be great if MTV plays more european music instead all american stupidities they paly right now. Many artists deserve to be shown in the whole european continent.
This weekend was like a giant megamix from the songs being played on the show recently. It wasn't arranged like a chart. It was nice to watch.

Oh ok. Yeah that makes more sense. I think the chart should be a top20 :) I think all charts should be top20, especially the Dancefloor Chart and Hitlist UK which used to be longer.
I think the chart would be better if it showed the number #1`s in each country in an hour.
I agree for a top 20 format, but don't any chart will be ever shown in 2 hours on MTV.They could if they want to.For example MTV Hits shows "the official UK Top" in version Top 40 and Top 20 too-longer and shorter version.

10.The Presets - Talk Like That [AUSTRALIA]

I think this list is compiled from using all of the MTV Hitlist charts globally.

For example, my favorite group ever, the Presets aren't top 10 in Australia with that amazing song at the moment. :P

Dunno about Australia, but for most of the charts, they're usually the official sales chart.

2.R I O - Shine On [ROMANIA]

3.Katy Perry - Hot N Cold [MALTA]

4.Ne-Yo - Miss Independent [CYPRUS]

These have official sales/airplay charts? :P For the Eastern European countries (including Portugal), I'd deduce that it's the MTV Hitlist/Airplay chart.
