Arctic Monkeys will perform at the Big Day Out festival in Australia and New Zealand next year.

 

Neil Young, The Prodigy, Bullet For My Valentine, My Morning Jacket, The Ting Tings and TV On The Radio will also perform at the bash.

 

The event takes place across the cities of Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Auckland and on the Gold Coast from January 16 next year.

 

Other bands announced for the bash so far include Simian Mobile Disco, Pendulum, Cut Copy and The Living End.

yeah i think i will go all the way to Big Day Out to see them :rolleyes:

 

To be honest i reckon they will headline reading/Leeds anyhoo, not on top of the list of bands i need to see though as i have already seen them.

They'll definitely play Leeds/Reading, and will headline it, if not, then co-headline. They've not played since 06. I reckon they'll headline Reading on the Saturday, and Leeds on the Sunday. :D That'd be an absolutely mental/riot esque-fuelled end to the weekend in Leeds...

Arctic Monkeys will headline Norway's Oya Festival in August.

 

The band, who have been recording new material with Queens Of the Stone Age's Josh Homme, will be joined by the likes of Chairlift, The Bronx and Royksopp on the bill - the latter act also being set to play a headline slot.

 

The festival is set to take place in a medieval park at Middelalderparken, Oslo, from August 11-15. Famed for its ethical stance and unique setting, Oya has a 70,000 capacity.

Satyricon

The Bronx

Chairlift

Crystal Antlers
