he missed quite a few notes and sounded nervous throughout.

I thought he sounded ok(apart from the howling/yodelling in the middle) but the song is absolute bilge. I thought I'd been transported back in time & was listening to Frank Ifield or the Bachelors! :lol:

 

As for sounding nervous that ain't surprising being one of Louis' stablemates he doesn't get much practice at live vocals. ;)

I take it we can expect a red nose day charity cover of a Four Seasons song then? yodelee hi tee. :lol: Sorry, the songs ok and his fans will love it, but give the poor sod some casual clothes to wear Louis and some better songs to sing, he's not an old man.

Louis obviously wants Shayne as his own 'old man', I reckon, if you see what I mean. He doesn't seem to know what to do with an 'artist' if they're not male, nubile and cute. Ahem.

That seems to be the path which is followed. We had Will doing Children In Need, then Gareth with Comic Relief. I hope, if he does do a charity song, whatever it is, that he raises lots of money for whichever charity it is. After all, thats the reason artists who have big fan-bases after shows like PI and X-factor are chosen to sing them.

The next red nose day won't be till next year so it will depend on just how big Shayne's fanbase is by then. Anyway they'll have their new winner by then they can wheel in to guarantee big sales. ;)

first time I have heard that, he did well - good vocals, I didnt notice him struggling and he "hit" every note imo - not that these sorts of ballads are what I go for or interest me greatly, but I can see it would be a good wedding song etc, does have a feeling of Unchanged melody or a Walker brotheresq song - as ballads go and as vocals on ballads go that one is quite listenable, he has a pleasant enough voice. I quite like the high bits, that reminds me of various songs over the years

 

and as bono points out - some posters are full of sour grapes, even when they have no reason.

I'm not desperate to prove anything, call it old school philosophy if you like, you know, the been there done that way of thinking, even Will was struggling having to sing the rubbish he was given in his first year under Cowell, that's why he rebelled and stood up for himself. No one's posting that Shayne cant sing or that he's rubbish, because he isn't. I think everyone will agree that if Louis Walsh continues to have Shayne singing such tripe he'll ruin his career, the way Cowell ruined the rest who were in his clutches from these shows, you'd have thought they'd have seen the light by now. :rolleyes:

 

Oh believe me, i am in no way a Shayne fan, i just find it amusing that so many Will fans always feel an urge to comment about Shayne. The same with Gareth. :rolleyes:

I'm sorry Val, you can bonk me all you like, metaphorically speaking :lol: I don't want to offend you but in my opinion Shayne has a far better voice than Gareth, but it doesn't matter one jot either way as some fans will buy any old rubbish.......... for a short while anyway. :cool:

I agree, there is no doubt in my mind that vocally Shayne is lightyears superior to Gareth.
