I don't know where they are heading for this. If I was in charge, I'd remove ICFY from playlists, off the telly etc. and quickly replace it with AP, in a hopeful attempt to raise awareness for Heavy Rotation during the big Christmas Sales.

 

Wrongly, by releasing in January, they are hoping for a big single release. wronggggg. Throughout the next 2/3 months, Heavy Rotation is going to drop, and drop, and drop and won't never be seen again. January IS a good time to release a single you know, but in this case and situation, it's the wrong move.

 

If it was up to me I'd push forward for a quick December 15th release. It's always the weakest time to release something, and with good video + airplay, AP would make an impact causing HR to rise up the charts during the Christmas Rush.

 

This project is doomed.

 

 

So basically, the record company are hoping that after the I Can Feel You disaster, they will score big with a second hit. That's not what they should be doing, they should be pushing through singles in help that the album will start selling.
