Interesting too see Stand My Ground up there. I loved it on first listen and then it faded a bit on me. Its not that varied and quite repeatitive. Something you wouldnt expect from a WT track.

Dont worry Chris, I was scared of girls too when I was about 13, 14... Got over it pretty quick at 15, when the 21-year old German Student at our school gave me a good seeing to though.....   I've had a liking for all things German ever since then.....

I like its anthemic qualities to be honest, it's quite rousing, and played live it's just bloody astounding... I reckon they should've applied to Eurovision and entered with that song.. They'd've totally romped it; much, much better than Lordi....

I could say the same thing about you liking that Eminem creature. Besides there possibly cant be anything you can have against MCR besides the fact that the two brothers are the hottest things before Jared Leto. :kink:

Forgiven is amazinggg. I love it so much now just battling to get it at the top of my personal chart atm. WHYD, AIN and IQ are total brilliance. The celticness of Memories does get a bit annoying at times for me but if so many people like it, great

What's so bad about them?? :o

The fact that their music is just absolute whiny sub-AFI/Placebo bollocks, they are clearly a bunch of fakers playing dress-up in Uncle Marilyn's wardrobe and the whole "emo" sub-genre is a completely worthless, pointless sack of sh"t, and I pretty much hold them solely responsible for dumbing-down the whole US Hard/Alt Rock movement and giving the likes of Fall Out Boy and Good Charlotte a way in.... But apart from that, they're great.....

Oh, and the fact that they keep carping on about how they're SOOOOOOO influenced by The Cure, Nirvana and The Smiths, but seem to completely fail to grasp what their music was about.... Just namedropping some genuinely cool bands to get some cred if you ask me... The most bankrupt thing any musician can do IMO.... I dunno if it was them or Fall Out Boy who said that they were supposedly "inspired" by the "guitar dude" in The Smiths... Yeah, cos if you're a REAL Smiths fan, you're gonna forget the name of Johnny Marr aren't you...?

I think that is more of FOB's fault. But MCR's first album was their best and actually they should have stuck with that style. But so what if they went a bit pop/emo. I still love Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge and The Black Parade. No I never have really got into The Smiths tbh.

to be honest their first album is... standable they were more of a punk band then. but Three Cheers and Black paradeare the biggest emo pieces of $h!t ever that actually make me feel ill hearing.

If you think MCR are better than The Smiths you are obviously have brain damage :(

I didnt say that MCR are better than The Smiths. I just like MCR more even though they're 'emo' and all. My favourite off the first album was 'Demolition Lovers' absolutely their best track for me.

 Once Save The Lies is over it should be #1 anyway especially after spending two months in the top 10 :o

That's pretty much it in a nutshell... First album is okay....ish... Still kind of watered-down AFI though, but after this, oh dear - absolute whiny, p!ss-poor, emo-boy bollocks for which a good slap is the only answer....

I loved what Emma-electric said on The Cure thread about Good Charlotte and MCR. "when I heard The Cure, I just couldn't take them bands seriously anymore...."...
