I'm not sure, all the songs sound really dated and it sounds a bit like she's taken a trip back to the sound of her first album. What's with the cheap throwaway R&B of some of the songs? Her vocals sound strained on just about all of the tracks too.

This is a disaster. :( She had something really special with her last album and I really did love her, this is career suicide.

Do you think? :o

She's definitely gone back to the sound of her 1st + 2nd album, but tbh, the appeal she's always had is that her songs have sound dated. NTK + FON are both influenced by 60/70's American sounds. But I agree about the R&B stuff, they're heavily forced on the album (- but it's all so she can try and break America. :( )- But they still sound good.

i'm not hearing any 1st or 2nd but a bit of the 3rd album in about 2 songs... this is new to her. i like the sound but she could do without same song / the wya i see it and doa whole album of i call it love/defeated/heavy rotation.

About 60% of the album is her just going back to her 'old roots', and the other 40% is stuff the company have pushed upon her so they can try and break into America.

But it doesn't sound to bad from two months and a halfs work.

there's still room for imrpovement but i'm, happy with the outcome, we still have 2 bsides

he's trying to give us some stroke, maybe, so we'd stop to annoy him

I hope for the next album she does go and do a few more tracks with Glen Ballad + Dallas Austin again. Ditch Ne-Yo + Darkchild, but still keep Guy Chambers to. ^_^

yeah bring on another LOA / SAT -- ''sprock'' suits her more.

Definitely another SAT, sometimes the mellow Euro Pop songs where she isn't trying to show of with her voice are the best tracks.

hip hip hurray for guy chambers :cheer:

i really like how he works

Yep. I Can Feel You, The Way I See It, Absolutely Positively, Defeated, In Summer, Heavy Rotation, Same Song, I Call It Love, All Fall Down, Never Love Again and You'll Be Fine.
