Dave always does ours. I've started nagging. He gets them printed so late, it's too late for me to send them - and he doesn't want me to use last years.

I actually saw wild gators on our way home today.....small ones sunning themselves by the side of the water.
They look really nice - unfortunately, they'd be at home in Jurrasic Park (which I have finally read)
I've just read 'The Lost World'..........the follow-up to Jurassic park.
That's one of the next for me. I've been meaning to read JP for years - and it arrived the day after it's author died.
I want to read John Wyndham's Day of the Triffids next, if it's in in the library.
I think I heard on bbc1 or read it this morning that they are planning a 2 part series of the Day of the triffids next year.
I hope it's better than the film. When I saw that, I couldn't believe how bad it was. I loved the book when I read it as a child.

I heard that too, Preston. Then when I began trying to recall the book, which I read many years ago, I found I was confusing

it with one about a plant with purple flowers which had the power to cure any human illness, even unrecognised illnesses like

dormant cancer. It's niggling me, so I'm reading the Triffids again, and I've also brought four other Wyndham books to try

to trace the purple flowers story. Any ideas anyone ?

I can't remember that at all. I think I coluld do with a garden of those flowers. There were purple flowers which could cure people in one book - i can't remember which but, I think, it was a Feist one.

I recall seeing the Day of The Triffids but don't recall anything much about it.

I'm not really a fan of sci-fi although I have been watching The Survivors on BBC

I hope any remake will be far better than that dreadful version of War of the World with Tom Cruise.

ThAT WAS AWFUL. With 'Day of the Triffids' i've forgotten most of the film as I thought it dire and not closly connected to the book. The book I loved. The thought of watching a spectacular light show and then waking up unable to see, I found unnerving. I think I'll have to get it again to reread.
Can anyone work magic with the image sites? I know Claire can. I've just seen a couple of nice pictures on wireimage of Darius and Natasha at the Gemini ( Canadian Emmys?) awards in Toronto.

This is the only one I can find - Natasha Henstridge with Darius Campbell

The second photo is a full length shot.........into Google I tapped 'wireimage natasha henstridge darius campbell'
I think you're a genius even to post one photo. Thanks Meg.
