Took my son to the airport this morning. He's flying to Canada for job interviews.

One of those.......you want him to succeed but don't want him to go

He's hoping to get a few days skiing at Banff between interviews.

He's just phoned to say he's going to the gate :(

A classic "mum" moment and it's so hard! :( Hope he does well. Sue

Aww, hugs to you Pam. Hope finds whatever he wants.
I do like just being able to walk outside as long as I have someone to leave in. You don't appreciate it enough usually.
Glad you got the chance to do so Meg
Now I'm home for 7 weeks, I'll be doing that often. In 2wks, all being well, we can leave Mum alone for short periods.

off to Birmingham city uni open day tomorrow.......just one problem we still don't have any details except it starts at 11am.

I rang twice today and both times they said they were emailing the directions and times info.....

Just going to set off tomorrow at 7am and ring them at 9am to find out where we have to go :(

Glad she's making progress, Meg and great that you're home. How's Dane?

I'd never have the confidence to do that. I hate driving to an unfamiliar location. I like to have a dry run when the roads are quieter, if I can.

Today I was heading for some shops I'd been to several times but not for a couple of years, and I simply didn't find them.

I went down one way then came back the same way and took the next fork at the junction where I thought I'd gone wrong. It wasn'tthat way either and so I tried to adjust my route to try to reach it another way. It was a lovely day for a trip out and I had Dive In in the CD player, otherwise I'd've got crotchety.

Eventually I just gave up and took the most scenic route home.

There was a beautiful rainbow in the sky, although I don't recollect us having any rain today. The streets were dry and there wasn't one drop on my windscreen the whole time I was out.

I guess I wasn't meant to go there today.

Glad your mum's improving Meg.

Hope you manage to get to the correct place at the correct time Pam.

At least you kept calm about it BT. I think I might have been tearing my hair out by that stage. Not that it would have done any good. Sue

Dane's not brillint. Three more bad fits hasn't helped him.

I love driving or walking and looking up o see beautiful rainbows. One of life's little pleasures.

Is the medication not working then Meg? Is there nothing else the vet can suggest that might help? Sue

The dose has been increased but with bad fits they get some brain damage. He is beginning to settle now. After each group of fits, it's as if he changes personality. He's still ours though. I just hope this stabalises him. The dose may be increased again next week.

Poor Dane.

It's hard to watch pets get sicker because they can't let off steam like humans. You just hope they know you'll always do the very best for them and they know they're well loved.

Sorry Dane's not brilliant Meg, hope he stabilises.
