Mine are still my babies - and always will be. You can see the child still when you look into their eyes. Doesn't stop them being grown up and capable but keeps the ahhhh factor.

 

Dane's a little better. He slept well last night and that helps him.

I've rung the surgery but he's left. They are hoping to contact him and get him to phone us.

My son hasn't been for years and his problems started around NY with an abcess so he went to the emergency on call dentist

 

They said he need to see this dentist....he was the best...so we took their advice....and waited till today....and now till July :o

 

I'm really not sure if I should ring my dentist to see if they can do anything quicker......I really need to speak with the dentist who saw him today :(

More power to your elbow! Persistence usually pays off quicker than meek acceptance.

That seems an awful long wait for futher treatment Pam, especially considering where the tooth is situated. Hope you manage to get through to the dentist.

 

Just heard today that it looks like my son is going to be made redundant. :( He works on one of the sister papers of the MEN and they are closing all the local offices down and looking to make 150 people redundant! Sue

Pam, get a new dentist! Hubby broke a tooth over the weekend, I phoned for an appointment at 9.00am this morning, he

went at 9.40 and it was all done and dusted within the hour. We go privately, but we have been going there for many years.

Your appointment dates are absurd, even for a new patient.

 

Sorry to hear about your son, Sue. Keep your fingers crossed that he is one of the lucky ones who will keep his job.

He probably wouldn't be as that was just the beginning of the treatment....and then if he had another 4 months till the next appointment :o

 

 

Anyway, the dentist didn't phone before 3pm so I rang my dentist....private...and they saw him at 4:10

 

He had an examination, xray a thorough explaination of treatments and her advice offered and estimates.

He is going in Friday morning...all morning....she shouldn't be working but will go in for him

He will need at least 2 teeth removed...meaning a bridge as they are front teeth

But things are not cut and dried as he may still need some surgery as it's a huge abcess over 2-3 teeth.

 

....all for the approx price of £1500+

 

...but I can have it at 0% finance over 24 months

 

thank the Lord work has just phoned and asked me to do extra

 

I just couldn't let him go all year with his teeth a mess.

It would be very difficult....he has our best interests at heart....we just didn't realise :)

A few clips on myspace would be nice though. Only 'Simple Like The Truth' is a 2 min clip now.

 

I bet your son is dreading Friday. How unlucky is he to get an abcess that bad.
